to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

to open their eyes. I want you to turn them from darkness to light. I want you to turn them from Satan’s power to God. I want their sins to be forgiven. They will be forgiven when they believe in me. They will have their place among God’s people.’

Now, brothers, I entrust you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build up, and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,

We don’t belong to the night, nor to darkness,so then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.For those who sleep, sleep in the night; and those who are drunk are drunk in the night.But since we belong to the day, let’s be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.

testifying both to Jews and to Greeks repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus.

and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.

Again, I write a new commandment to you, which is true in him and in you; because the darkness is passing away and the true light already shines.He who says he is in the light and hates his brother is in the darkness even until now.

Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.

I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.

In him was life, and the life was the light of men.The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it.There came a man, sent from God, whose name was John.The same came as a witness, that he might testify about the light, that all might believe through him.He was not the light, but was sent that he might testify about the light.The true light that enlightens everyone was coming into the world.

nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom.Some of you were such, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

In that day, the deaf will hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind will see out of obscurity and out of darkness.

He seized the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole inhabited earth, and bound him for a thousand years,and cast him into the abyss, and shut it, and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years were finished. After this, he must be freed for a short time.

Bring out the blind people who have eyes, and the deaf who have ears.

Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and kept for Jesus Christ:

Sanctify them in your truth. Your word is truth.

and they may recover themselves out of the devil’s snare, having been taken captive by him to his will.

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light. The light has shined on those who lived in the land of the shadow of death.

Then he opened their minds, that they might understand the Scriptures.

Listen, my beloved brothers. Didn’t God choose those who are poor in this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the Kingdom which he promised to those who love him?

This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil.

that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Since then the children have shared in flesh and blood, he also himself in the same way partook of the same, that through death he might bring to nothing him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,and might deliver all of them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Indeed, he says,“ It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel. I will also give you as a light to the nations, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.”

We were also assigned an inheritance in him, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who does all things after the counsel of his will,

Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. Yahweh loves the righteous.

But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings. You will go out, and leap like calves of the stall.

a light for revelation to the nations, and the glory of your people Israel.”

“ The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light.But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

Jesus therefore said to them,“ Yet a little while the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, that darkness doesn’t overtake you. He who walks in the darkness doesn’t know where he is going.While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become children of light.” Jesus said these things, and he departed and hid himself from them.

“ When the strong man, fully armed, guards his own dwelling, his goods are safe.But when someone stronger attacks him and overcomes him, he takes from him his whole armor in which he trusted, and divides his plunder.

Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Because of him, you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:

“ The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed,

for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

Jesus said,“ I came into this world for judgment, that those who don’t see may see; and that those who see may become blind.”

Even as David also pronounces blessing on the man to whom God counts righteousness apart from works,“ Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, whose sins are covered.Blessed is the man whom the Lord will by no means charge with sin.”Is this blessing then pronounced on the circumcised, or on the uncircumcised also? For we say that faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness.

not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,whom he poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior;

Therefore he says,“ Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

The eyes of those who see will not be dim, and the ears of those who hear will listen.

by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,

Jesus answered her,“ If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you,‘ Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”

All the prophets testify about him, that through his name everyone who believes in him will receive remission of sins.”

and if children, then heirs: heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.

Blessed is he whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is covered.Blessed is the man to whom Yahweh doesn’t impute iniquity, in whose spirit there is no deceit.

I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.

Shall the plunder be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captives be delivered?But Yahweh says,“ Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the plunder retrieved from the fierce, for I will contend with him who contends with you and I will save your children.

He was taken away by oppression and judgment. As for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living and stricken for the disobedience of my people?They made his grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in his death, although he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.Yet it pleased Yahweh to bruise him. He has caused him to suffer. When you make his soul an offering for sin, he will see his offspring. He will prolong his days and Yahweh’s pleasure will prosper in his hand.After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light and be satisfied. My righteous servant will justify many by the knowledge of himself; and he will bear their iniquities.Therefore I will give him a portion with the great. He will divide the plunder with the strong; because he poured out his soul to death and was counted with the transgressors; yet he bore the sins of many and made intercession for the transgressors.

He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water.”But he said this about the Spirit, which those believing in him were to receive. For the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus wasn’t yet glorified.

how the Christ must suffer, and how, by the resurrection of the dead, he would be first to proclaim light both to these people and to the Gentiles.”

Be it known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man is proclaimed to you remission of sins,and by him everyone who believes is justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”

who is a pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of his glory.

Ananias departed and entered into the house. Laying his hands on him, he said,“ Brother Saul, the Lord, who appeared to you on the road by which you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”Immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he received his sight. He arose and was baptized.

to the assembly of God which is at Corinth— those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints, with all who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, both theirs and ours:

I just want to learn this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?
