‘ Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen and will see of me.

Now get up. Stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you to serve me. And you must tell other people about me. You must tell others that you have seen me today. You must also tell them that I will show myself to you again.

And he said to me,“ Daniel, you who are treasured, understand the words that I am about to tell you and stand at your place, for I have now been sent to you.” And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling.

After he had greeted them, he began to relate one by one the things which God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.

Boasting is necessary, though it is not beneficial; but I will go on to visions and revelations of the Lord.I know a man in Christ, who fourteen years ago— whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, God knows— such a man was caught up to the third heaven.And I know how such a man— whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, God knows—was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which a man is not permitted to speak.In behalf of such a man I will boast; but in my own behalf I will not boast, except regarding my weaknesses.For if I do wish to boast I will not be foolish, for I will be speaking the truth; but I refrain from this, so that no one will credit me with more than he sees in me or hears from me.Because of the extraordinary greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me— to keep me from exalting myself!

And I said,‘ What shall I do, Lord?’ And the Lord said to me,‘ Get up and go on into Damascus, and there you will be told about everything that has been appointed for you to do.’

In pointing out these things to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the good doctrine which you have been following.

But the Lord said to him,“ Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel;for I will show him how much he must suffer in behalf of My name.”

of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of God’s grace which was given to me according to the working of His power.To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ,

Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we received mercy, we do not lose heart,

but get up and enter the city, and it will be told to you what you must do.”The men who traveled with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but seeing no one.Saul got up from the ground, and though his eyes were open, he could see nothing; and leading him by the hand, they brought him into Damascus.And for three days he was without sight, and neither ate nor drank.

But as for you, use self restraint in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

But on the following night, the Lord stood near him and said,“ Be courageous! For as you have testified to the truth about Me in Jerusalem, so you must testify in Rome also.”

For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.

For this very night an angel of the God to whom I belong, whom I also serve, came to me,saying,‘ Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before Caesar; and behold, God has graciously granted you all those who are sailing with you.’

if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.

“ It happened when I returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple, that I fell into a trance,and I saw Him saying to me,‘ Hurry and get out of Jerusalem quickly, because they will not accept your testimony about Me.’And I said,‘ Lord, they themselves understand that in one synagogue after another I used to imprison and beat those who believed in You.And when the blood of Your witness Stephen was being shed, I also was standing nearby and approving, and watching over the cloaks of those who were killing him.’And He said to me,‘ Go! For I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’ ”

Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation,

And the Lord said to Paul by a vision at night,“ Do not be afraid any longer, but go on speaking and do not be silent;for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many people in this city.”

just as you learned it from Epaphras, our beloved fellow bond servant, who is a faithful servant of Christ on our behalf,

to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, ministering as a priest the gospel of God, so that my offering of the Gentiles may become acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles in behalf of His name,

I was made a minister of this church according to the commission from God granted to me for your benefit, so that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God,

and we sent Timothy, our brother and God’s fellow worker in the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you for the benefit of your faith,

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service,

But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of God’s grace.

It was because of a revelation that I went up; and I submitted to them the gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but I did so in private to those who were of reputation, for fear that somehow I might be running, or had run, in vain.

Now there were prophets and teachers at Antioch, in the church that was there: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.While they were serving the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said,“ Set Barnabas and Saul apart for Me for the work to which I have called them.”Then, when they had fasted, prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia and from there they sailed to Cyprus.

For he was counted among us and received his share in this ministry.”

to occupy this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.”

But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”
