Festus talked it over with the members of his court. Then he said,“ You have made an appeal to Caesar. To Caesar you will go!”

非斯都與議會商酌後、答曰：『汝既上訴於凱撒、自當移解於凱撒！』

After Festus had conferred with his council, he declared:“ You have appealed to Caesar. To Caesar you will go!”

Then Festus, when he had conferred with his council, answered,“ To Caesar you have appealed; to Caesar you shall go.”

Festus conferred with his advisers and then replied,“ Very well! You have appealed to Caesar, and to Caesar you will go!”

Then after Festus conferred with his council, he replied,“ You have appealed to Caesar; to Caesar you will go.”

Then when Festus had conferred with his council, he answered,“ You have appealed to Caesar; to Caesar you shall go.”

Then Festus, when he had conferred with the council, answered,“ You have appealed to Caesar? To Caesar you shall go!”

Then Festus, when he had conferred with the council, answered, Thou hast appealed unto Cæsar: unto Cæsar shalt thou go.

After Festus conferred with his council, he replied,“ You have appealed to Caesar; to Caesar you will go!”

Then Festus, when he had conferred with the council, answered, Hast thou appealed unto Caesar? unto Caesar shalt thou go.

Then, after conferring with his council, Festus replied,“ You have appealed to Caesar; to Caesar you will go!”

Then Festus, when he had conferred with the council, answered,“ You have appealed to Caesar. To Caesar you shall go.”

I completely expect and hope that I won’t be ashamed in any way. I’m sure I will be brave enough. Now as always Christ will receive glory because of what happens to me. He will receive glory whether I live or die.

Your anger against sinners brings you praise. Those who live through your anger gather to worship you.

Before something even happens, I announce how it will end. In fact, from times long ago I announced what was still to come. I say,‘ My plan will succeed. I will do anything I want to do.’I will send for a man from the east to carry out my plan. From a land far away, he will come like a bird that kills its food. I will bring about what I have said. I will do what I have planned.

The next night the Lord stood near Paul. He said,“ Be brave! You have told people about me in Jerusalem. You must do the same in Rome.”

He considers all the nations on earth to be nothing. He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven. He does what he wants with the nations of the earth. No one can hold back his hand. No one can say to him,“ What have you done?”

After all this had happened, Paul decided to go to Jerusalem. He went through Macedonia and Achaia.“ After I have been to Jerusalem,” he said,“ I must visit Rome also.”

Brothers and sisters, here is what I want you to know. What has happened to me has actually helped to spread the good news.One thing has become clear. I am being held by chains because I am a witness for Christ. All the palace guards and everyone else know it.And because I am a prisoner, most of the believers have become bolder in the Lord. They now dare even more to preach the good news without fear.

I want to finish my task. I want to make sure that the poor in Jerusalem have received this offering. Then I will go to Spain. On my way I will visit you.I know that when I come to you, I will come with the full blessing of Christ.

When we got to Rome, Paul was allowed to live by himself. But a soldier guarded him.

But Paul made an appeal to have the Emperor decide his case. So I ordered him to be held until I could send him to Caesar.”

Suppose people order something to happen. It won’t happen unless the Lord has planned it.

Agrippa said to Festus,“ This man could have been set free. But he has made an appeal to Caesar.”It was decided that we would sail for Italy. Paul and some other prisoners were handed over to a Roman commander named Julius. He belonged to the Imperial Guard.
