亞基帕又對非斯都說：「這人若沒有上告於凱撒，就可以釋放了。」

無奈猶太人不服，我不得已，只好上告於凱撒，並非有甚麼事要控告我本國的百姓。

但我查明他沒有犯甚麼該死的罪，並且他自己上告於皇帝，所以我定意把他解去。

大衛心裏說：「必有一日我死在掃羅手裏，不如逃奔非利士地去。掃羅見我不在以色列的境內，就必絕望，不再尋索我；這樣我可以脫離他的手。」

我若奪取田地，這地向我喊冤，犂溝一同哭泣；我若吃地的出產不給價值，或叫原主喪命；願這地長蒺藜代替麥子，長惡草代替大麥。約伯的話說完了。

但保羅求我留下他，要聽皇上審斷，我就吩咐把他留下，等我解他到凱撒那裏去。」

我在這裏，你們要在耶和華和他的受膏者面前給我作見證。我奪過誰的牛，搶過誰的驢，欺負過誰，虐待過誰，從誰手裏受過賄賂因而眼瞎呢？若有，我必償還。」眾人說：「你未曾欺負我們，虐待我們，也未曾從誰手裏受過甚麼。」撒母耳對他們說：「你們在我手裏沒有找着甚麼，有耶和華和他的受膏者今日為證。」他們說：「願他為證。」

保羅說：「我站在凱撒的堂前，這就是我應當受審的地方。我向猶太人並沒有行過甚麼不義的事，這也是你明明知道的。

「大能者神耶和華！大能者神耶和華！他是知道的！以色列人也必知道！我們若有悖逆的意思，或是干犯耶和華（願你今日不保佑我們），

耶和華－我的神啊，我若行了這事，若有罪孽在我手裏，我若以惡報那與我交好的人－連那無故與我為敵的，我也救了他，就任憑仇敵追趕我，直到追上，將我的性命踏在地下，使我的榮耀歸於灰塵。（細拉）

我若在城門口見有幫助我的，舉手攻擊孤兒；

剛用皮條捆上，保羅對旁邊站着的百夫長說：「人是羅馬人，又沒有定罪，你們就鞭打他，有這個例嗎？」

保羅剛要開口，迦流就對猶太人說：「你們這些猶太人！如果是為冤枉或奸惡的事，我理當耐性聽你們。

保羅卻說：「我們是羅馬人，並沒有定罪，他們就在眾人面前打了我們，又把我們下在監裏，現在要私下攆我們出去嗎？這是不行的。叫他們自己來領我們出去吧！」

這猶太人殺了主耶穌和先知，又把我們趕出去。他們不得神的喜悅，且與眾人為敵，
