看哪，你们可以在耶和华和他的受膏者面前指控我：我夺取过谁的牛，夺取过谁的驴子？我欺压过谁，压榨过谁？又从谁的手中收取过贿赂，以致我的眼睛被蒙住了？如果是这样，我必归还你们。”他们说：“你没有欺压过我们，没有压榨过我们，也没有从任何人手中收取过什么。”撒母耳对他们说：“今天，耶和华在你们中间作见证，他的受膏者也作见证：你们在我的手中没有找到什么。”他们说：“愿他作见证！”

保罗就说：“我已经站在凯撒的审判台前，这里就是我应该受审的地方。我没有亏负过犹太人，就像您也很清楚地了解那样。

耶和华我的神哪，如果我做了这事，如果我的手中有不义，如果我恶待那与我和好的人，或是无故掠夺我的敌人，就任凭仇敌追赶我，并且追上！任凭他把我的性命踩踏于地，使我的荣耀归入尘土！细拉

当士兵们用皮条捆上保罗的时候，他对站在旁边的百夫长说：“你们鞭打一个没有被定罪的罗马公民，可以吗？”

保罗刚要开口，伽利奥就对犹太人说：“哦，各位犹太人哪！如果这真是什么罪行或邪恶的案情，我理当容忍你们。

可是保罗对他们说：“我们是罗马公民，并没有被定罪，他们却当众打我们，把我们投进监狱。现在他们还要悄悄地把我们赶出去吗？当然不行！让他们亲自来领我们出去！”

这些犹太人不但杀了主耶稣和先知们，也驱逐了我们，并且不讨神的喜悦，又与所有的人作对，
