They only asked us to remember the poor— which very thing I was also zealous to do.

Moreover, brothers, we make known to you the grace of God which has been given in the assemblies of Macedonia,how in much proof of affliction, the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded to the riches of their generosity.For according to their power, I testify, yes and beyond their power, they gave of their own accord,begging us with much entreaty to receive this grace and the fellowship in the service to the saints.

For Paul had determined to sail past Ephesus, that he might not have to spend time in Asia; for he was hastening, if it were possible for him, to be in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost.

As any of the disciples had plenty, each determined to send relief to the brothers who lived in Judea;which they also did, sending it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.

Therefore watch, remembering that for a period of three years I didn’t cease to admonish everyone night and day with tears.

that I may be delivered from those who are disobedient in Judea, and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints,

For this service of giving that you perform not only makes up for lack among the saints, but abounds also through much giving of thanks to God,
