乃大喧譁、法利賽黨之士子數人、起而爭曰、我見此人無惡、或有神靈、或天使、與之言乎、

眾大譟、𠵽唎㘔同道士子、起而爭曰、我儕見此人無惡、或神、或天使、與之言、我不可與上帝爭、

眾大譟、屬法利賽教之經士、起而爭辯曰、我儕見此人無惡、若有鬼魂或天使與之言、我儕不可敵天主、

於是大聲噪聒、有法利塞黨之經生數人、起而辯曰：『吾儕未見是人有何罪惡；安知無神靈或天神曾與之語耶？』

There was a great uproar, and some of the teachers of the law who were Pharisees stood up and argued vigorously.“ We find nothing wrong with this man,” they said.“ What if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?”

People were causing trouble and making a lot of noise. Some of the teachers of the law who were Pharisees stood up. They argued strongly.“ We find nothing wrong with this man,” they said.“ What if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?”

Then a great clamor arose, and some of the scribes of the Pharisees’ party stood up and contended sharply,“ We find nothing wrong in this man. What if a spirit or an angel spoke to him?”

So there was a great uproar. Some of the teachers of religious law who were Pharisees jumped up and began to argue forcefully.“ We see nothing wrong with him,” they shouted.“ Perhaps a spirit or an angel spoke to him.”

The shouting grew loud, and some of the scribes of the Pharisees’ party got up and argued vehemently,“ We find nothing evil in this man. What if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?”

And a great uproar occurred; and some of the scribes of the Pharisaic party stood up and started arguing heatedly, saying,“ We find nothing wrong with this man; suppose a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?”

And there arose a great clamor: and some of the scribes of the Pharisees’ part stood up, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: and what if a spirit hath spoken to him, or an angel?

There was a great commotion, and some experts in the law from the party of the Pharisees stood up and protested strongly,“ We find nothing wrong with this man. What if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?”

A great clamor arose, and some of the scribes of the Pharisees’ part stood up, and contended, saying,“ We find no evil in this man. But if a spirit or angel has spoken to him, let’s not fight against God!”

And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me,‘ saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?’

“ Now it happened, when I returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple, that I was in a tranceand saw Him saying to me,‘ Make haste and get out of Jerusalem quickly, for they will not receive your testimony concerning Me.’

Therefore the people who stood by and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said,“ An angel has spoken to Him.”

and when they had gone aside, they talked among themselves, saying,“ This man is doing nothing deserving of death or chains.”

And when the scribes and Pharisees saw Him eating with the tax collectors and sinners, they said to His disciples,“ How is it that He eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?”

I found out that he was accused concerning questions of their law, but had nothing charged against him deserving of death or chains.

But when I found that he had committed nothing deserving of death, and that he himself had appealed to Augustus, I decided to send him.

Then he said to them the third time,“ Why, what evil has He done? I have found no reason for death in Him. I will therefore chastise Him and let Him go.”

but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it— lest you even be found to fight against God.”

said to them,“ You have brought this Man to me, as one who misleads the people. And indeed, having examined Him in your presence, I have found no fault in this Man concerning those things of which you accuse Him;no, neither did Herod, for I sent you back to him; and indeed nothing deserving of death has been done by Him.

If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?”

When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

So Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowd,“ I find no fault in this Man.”

For Sadducees say that there is no resurrection— and no angel or spirit; but the Pharisees confess both.

And their scribes and the Pharisees complained against His disciples, saying,“ Why do You eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”

Then he said to David:“ You are more righteous than I; for you have rewarded me with good, whereas I have rewarded you with evil.

Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?

And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language,‘ saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’So I said,‘ Who are You, Lord?’ And He said,‘ I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you.I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you,to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’“ Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision,

Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him,“ Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”

For there stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve,
