Then Paul, knowing that some of them were Sadducees and the others Pharisees, called out in the Sanhedrin,“ My brothers, I am a Pharisee, descended from Pharisees. I stand on trial because of the hope of the resurrection of the dead.”

葆樂察知會眾半為撒都責半為法利塞、乃揚聲而言曰：『兄弟！予乃法利塞人、亦法利塞人之子孫也！予今受審、乃以翹企死者復活。』

Paul knew that some of them were Sadducees and the others were Pharisees. So he called out to the members of the Sanhedrin.“ My brothers,” he said,“ I am a Pharisee. I come from a family of Pharisees. I believe that people will rise from the dead. That’s why I am on trial.”

Now when Paul perceived that one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council,“ Brothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees. It is with respect to the hope and the resurrection of the dead that I am on trial.”

But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council,“ Men and brothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees. Concerning the hope and resurrection of the dead I am being judged!”

and I have the same hope in God as these men themselves have, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked.

unless it was this one thing I shouted as I stood in their presence:‘ It is concerning the resurrection of the dead that I am on trial before you today.’”

They have known me for a long time and can testify, if they are willing, that I conformed to the strictest sect of our religion, living as a Pharisee.And now it is because of my hope in what God has promised our ancestors that I am on trial today.This is the promise our twelve tribes are hoping to see fulfilled as they earnestly serve God day and night. King Agrippa, it is because of this hope that these Jews are accusing me.Why should any of you consider it incredible that God raises the dead?

circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee;

For this reason I have asked to see you and talk with you. It is because of the hope of Israel that I am bound with this chain.”

That same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him with a question.

as the high priest and all the Council can themselves testify. I even obtained letters from them to their associates in Damascus, and went there to bring these people as prisoners to Jerusalem to be punished.
