Paul replied,“ Brothers, I didn’t realize he was the high priest. It is written,‘ Do not speak evil about the ruler of your people.’ ”( Exodus 22:28)

保羅就說：「同胞們，我不知道他是大祭司。的確，經上記著：不可說你民中掌權者的壞話。」

葆樂曰：『兄弟、予實不知彼乃大司祭也。經云：「民之有司、不可謗也。」』

Paul replied,“ Brothers, I did not realize that he was the high priest; for it is written:‘ Do not speak evil about the ruler of your people.’”

And Paul said,“ I did not know, brothers, that he was the high priest, for it is written,‘ You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people.’”

“ I’m sorry, brothers. I didn’t realize he was the high priest,” Paul replied,“ for the Scriptures say,‘ You must not speak evil of any of your rulers.’”

“ I did not know, brothers, that he was the high priest,” replied Paul.“ For it is written, You must not speak evil of a ruler of your people.”

And Paul said,“ I was not aware, brothers, that he is high priest; for it is written:‘ You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people.’ ”

Then Paul said,“ I did not know, brethren, that he was the high priest; for it is written,‘ You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people.’”

And Paul said, I knew not, brethren, that he was high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of a ruler of thy people.

“ I did not know, brothers, that he was the high priest,” replied Paul.“ For it is written, You must not speak evil of a ruler of your people.”

Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.

Paul replied,“ I did not realize, brothers, that he was the high priest, for it is written,‘ You must not speak evil about a ruler of your people.’”

Paul said,“ I didn’t know, brothers, that he was high priest. For it is written,‘ You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people.’”

“ Do not speak evil things against God. Do not curse the ruler of your people.

Don’t say bad things about the king. Don’t even think about those things. Don’t curse rich people. Don’t even curse them in your bedroom. A bird might fly away and carry your words. It might report what you said.

Most of all, this is true of people who follow desires that come from sin’s power. These people hate to be under authority. They are bold and proud. So they aren’t even afraid to speak evil things against heavenly beings.

In the very same way, these ungodly people act on their evil dreams. So they make their own bodies impure. They don’t accept authority. And they say evil things against heavenly beings.But even Michael, the leader of the angels, didn’t dare to say these things. He didn’t even say these things when he argued with the devil about the body of Moses. Michael didn’t dare to judge the devil. He didn’t say the devil was guilty of saying evil things. Instead, Michael said,“ May the Lord judge you!”

“ I was away for several years. Then I came to Jerusalem to bring my people gifts for those who were poor. I also came to offer sacrifices.
