後來我被告知將有一個針對這個人的陰謀，就立即把他解送到您那裡去，又吩咐原告們到您面前去告他。」

我回答他們：在被告還沒有與原告當面對質，並且對被控罪名還沒有獲得申辯機會以前，就把被告交出去，這不符合羅馬人的規矩。

那時，總督的士兵們把耶穌帶進總督府，召集了全隊士兵在他周圍。

希律王聽說了，就驚慌不安，全耶路撒冷的人也與他一起不安。

過了五天，大祭司阿納尼亞帶著一些長老和一個名叫特圖羅斯的律師下來，向總督指控保羅。

在希律王的那些日子裡，耶穌誕生在猶太的伯利恆。當時，有幾個博士從東方來到耶路撒冷。

因為菲利克斯比較詳盡地了解這道，就推託他們，說：「等千夫長呂西亞下來，我再審斷有關你們的事。」

過了幾天，菲利克斯與他的猶太人妻子杜茜拉一起來了。他把保羅叫來，聽他講說對基督耶穌的信仰。當保羅講論關於公義、自制和將來的審判時，菲利克斯感到害怕，就說：「你現在可以回去，我有了時間，就會叫你。」同時他也希望保羅送他錢，所以經常把他叫來，和他交談。過了兩年，波奇烏菲斯特斯接替菲利克斯。菲利克斯想要討好猶太人，就把保羅留在監獄裡。

希律發現自己受了博士們的愚弄，就十分惱怒。於是，他按照從博士們那裡所詢問到的時間，派人把伯利恆城裡和周圍各個地區內兩歲以下的男孩，全都殺了。

總督點頭示意要保羅講話，保羅就說：「我知道您在本國多年做審判官，所以我樂意為自己申辯。

他們把耶穌從該亞法那裡帶到總督府，那時是清晨。他們為了不被汙穢，能吃逾越節的晚餐，就沒有進入總督府。

只有一些從亞細亞省來的猶太人——如果對我有什麼控告，應該是他們到您面前來控告。
