后来我被告知将有一个针对这个人的阴谋，就立即把他解送到您那里去，又吩咐原告们到您面前去告他。”

我回答他们：在被告还没有与原告当面对质，并且对被控罪名还没有获得申辩机会以前，就把被告交出去，这不符合罗马人的规矩。

那时，总督的士兵们把耶稣带进总督府，召集了全队士兵在他周围。

希律王听说了，就惊慌不安，全耶路撒冷的人也与他一起不安。

过了五天，大祭司阿纳尼亚带着一些长老和一个名叫特图罗斯的律师下来，向总督指控保罗。

在希律王的那些日子里，耶稣诞生在犹太的伯利恒。当时，有几个博士从东方来到耶路撒冷。

因为菲利克斯比较详尽地了解这道，就推托他们，说：“等千夫长吕西亚下来，我再审断有关你们的事。”

过了几天，菲利克斯与他的犹太人妻子杜茜拉一起来了。他把保罗叫来，听他讲说对基督耶稣的信仰。当保罗讲论关于公义、自制和将来的审判时，菲利克斯感到害怕，就说：“你现在可以回去，我有了时间，就会叫你。”同时他也希望保罗送他钱，所以经常把他叫来，和他交谈。过了两年，波奇乌菲斯特斯接替菲利克斯。菲利克斯想要讨好犹太人，就把保罗留在监狱里。

希律发现自己受了博士们的愚弄，就十分恼怒。于是，他按照从博士们那里所询问到的时间，派人把伯利恒城里和周围各个地区内两岁以下的男孩，全都杀了。

总督点头示意要保罗讲话，保罗就说：“我知道您在本国多年做审判官，所以我乐意为自己申辩。

他们把耶稣从该亚法那里带到总督府，那时是清晨。他们为了不被污秽，能吃逾越节的晚餐，就没有进入总督府。

只有一些从亚细亚省来的犹太人——如果对我有什么控告，应该是他们到您面前来控告。
