我回覆他們，無論甚麼人，被告還沒有和原告當面對質，沒有機會為所控告的事申辯，就先定他罪的，這不是羅馬人的規矩。

就說：「等告你的人來到，我才詳細聽你。」於是他命令把保羅拘留在希律的衙門裏。

惟有幾個從亞細亞來的猶太人－他們若有控告我的事，應當到你面前來告我。

他說：「猶太人已經約定，要求你明天把保羅帶到議會去，假裝要詳細查問他的事。

他甚至連聖殿也要污穢，我們就把他捉拿了。

但他們的計謀被掃羅知道了。他們晝夜在城門守候着要殺他。

到了天亮，猶太人同謀起誓，說「若不先殺保羅就不吃不喝」。

他又說：「所以，你們中間有權的人與我一同下去，那人若有甚麼不是，就讓他們控告他。」非斯都在他們那裏住了不超過八天或十天，就下凱撒利亞去；第二天開庭，下令把保羅提上來。

末了，弟兄們，願你們喜樂。要追求完全；要接受鼓勵；要同心合意；要彼此和睦。如此，慈愛和平的上帝必與你們同在。

就是禁戒偶像所玷污的東西、血和勒死的牲畜，禁戒淫亂。這幾件你們若能自己禁戒就好了。祝你們安康！」
