蓋我儕見此人如癘疫、於天下猶太人中滋亂、為拿撒勒黨之首、曾欲辱殿、我儕執之、

若行不義、而干死罪、雖死不辭、若訟我者皆虛、則無人能以我付彼、我上叩該撒矣、

方伯頷之、保羅言曰、我知爾聽訟此邦有年矣、故樂自申訴、我上耶路撒冷崇拜、僅十有二日、爾可詢而知也、彼未嘗見我在殿、或會堂、或邑中、與人辯論聳眾、今訟我之事、彼不能證於爾前、惟此一事、我於爾承之、即彼所謂旁門之道、我依之、奉事我列祖之上帝、悉信合於律法、及先知書所載者、且於上帝有望、無論義與不義、皆將復起、亦如彼所冀者也、我於此自勵、對上帝及世人、常存無虧之良、今歷多年、我攜周濟我邦之資、及所獻之禮而歸、彼遇我在殿自潔、無眾無譁、惟自亞西亞來之猶太數人、彼若有可罪我者、今宜在爾前控之、不然、則任斯人自言、見我立公會前、有何不義、但為一言、即我立眾中呼曰、我今被鞫於爾前、乃因死者復起之理也、○
