天亮了，犹太人就策划了一起阴谋，并且赌咒起誓说，杀掉保罗以前，就不吃不喝。策划这同谋起誓的有四十多人。他们来到祭司长们和长老们那里，说：“我们已经赌咒起誓，杀掉保罗以前，就什么都不吃。

请他恩准，把保罗叫到耶路撒冷来。他们策划要在路上埋伏杀了保罗。

我经常行远路，遭遇江河的危险、强盗的危险、来自同胞的危险、来自外邦人的危险、在城里的危险、在旷野中的危险、在海上的危险、在假弟兄中的危险；

过了许多日子以后，犹太人商议要杀了扫罗，但他们的阴谋却被扫罗知道了。于是他们就日夜严守着各城门，要杀掉他。

那时，外邦人和犹太人，与他们的首领们一同企图凌辱使徒们，要用石头砸死他们。两个人知道了，就逃往利考尼亚地区的路司得和代尔贝两个城以及周围地区，

我在完全的谦卑中、泪水中、以及因犹太人的阴谋而带来的许多试炼中服事主；

为了我的同胞，我的骨肉之亲，就算我自己被诅咒、与基督分离，我也愿意。

在大马士革，阿瑞塔斯王的总督看守了大马士革城，要抓我，可是我被人用筐子从城墙的窗口缒下来，逃脱了他的手。
