The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said,“ Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.”

The next night the Lord stood near Paul. He said,“ Be brave! You have told people about me in Jerusalem. You must do the same in Rome.”

The following night the Lord stood by him and said,“ Take courage, for as you have testified to the facts about me in Jerusalem, so you must testify also in Rome.”

That night the Lord appeared to Paul and said,“ Be encouraged, Paul. Just as you have been a witness to me here in Jerusalem, you must preach the Good News in Rome as well.”

The following night, the Lord stood by him and said,“ Have courage! For as you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so it is necessary for you to testify in Rome.”

But on the following night, the Lord stood near him and said,“ Be courageous! For as you have testified to the truth about Me in Jerusalem, so you must testify in Rome also.”

But the following night the Lord stood by him and said,“ Be of good cheer, Paul; for as you have testified for Me in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness at Rome.”

And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer: for as thou hast testified concerning me at Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.

The following night, the Lord stood by him and said,“ Have courage! For as you have testified about Me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.”

The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said,“ Have courage, for just as you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.”

The following night, the Lord stood by him and said,“ Cheer up, Paul, for as you have testified about me at Jerusalem, so you must testify also at Rome.”

After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.

Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:

But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.

God[ is] our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and[ that] all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

Fear thou not; for I[ am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I[ am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou return, then will I bring thee again,[ and] thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them.And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I[ am] with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the LORD.And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible.

For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save[ him] from those that condemn his soul.

When thou passest through the waters, I[ will be] with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver[ us];

For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times[ the things] that are not[ yet] done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

[ His] disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway,[ even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into[ his] lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and[ out of] the prophets, from morning till evening.And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers,Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with[ their] eyes, and hear with[ their] ears, and understand with[ their] heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and[ that] they will hear it.And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

And saw him saying unto me, Make haste, and get thee quickly out of Jerusalem: for they will not receive thy testimony concerning me.

Fear not, thou worm Jacob,[ and] ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:

And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of[ any man’s] life among you, but of the ship.For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.

So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other[ places];
