The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said,“ Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.”

The next night the Lord stood near Paul. He said,“ Be brave! You have told people about me in Jerusalem. You must do the same in Rome.”

The following night the Lord stood by him and said,“ Take courage, for as you have testified to the facts about me in Jerusalem, so you must testify also in Rome.”

That night the Lord appeared to Paul and said,“ Be encouraged, Paul. Just as you have been a witness to me here in Jerusalem, you must preach the Good News in Rome as well.”

But on the following night, the Lord stood near him and said,“ Be courageous! For as you have testified to the truth about Me in Jerusalem, so you must testify in Rome also.”

But the following night the Lord stood by him and said,“ Be of good cheer, Paul; for as you have testified for Me in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness at Rome.”

And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer: for as thou hast testified concerning me at Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.

The following night, the Lord stood by him and said,“ Have courage! For as you have testified about Me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.”

After these events, Paul resolved by the Spirit to pass through Macedonia and Achaia and go to Jerusalem.“ After I’ve been there,” he said,“ It is necessary for me to see Rome as well.”

The Lord said to Paul in a night vision,“ Don’t be afraid, but keep on speaking and don’t be silent.

Immediately Jesus spoke to them.“ Have courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

Just then some men brought to him a paralytic lying on a stretcher. Seeing their faith, Jesus told the paralytic,“ Have courage, son, your sins are forgiven.”

God is our refuge and strength, a helper who is always found in times of trouble.Therefore we will not be afraid, though the earth trembles and the mountains topple into the depths of the seas,

But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that I might fully preach the word and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion’s mouth.

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand.

Therefore, this is what the LORD says: If you return, I will take you back; you will stand in my presence. And if you speak noble words, rather than worthless ones, you will be my spokesman. It is they who must return to you; you must not return to them.Then I will make you a fortified wall of bronze to this people. They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you to save you and rescue you. This is the LORD’s declaration.I will rescue you from the power of evil people and redeem you from the grasp of the ruthless.

For he stands at the right hand of the needy to save him from those who would condemn him.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and the rivers will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, and the flame will not burn you.

We don’t want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, of our affliction that took place in Asia. We were completely overwhelmed— beyond our strength— so that we even despaired of life itself.Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death, so that we would not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead.He has delivered us from such a terrible death, and he will deliver us. We have put our hope in him that he will deliver us again

For David says of him: I saw the Lord ever before me; because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

I declare the end from the beginning, and from long ago what is not yet done, saying: my plan will take place, and I will do all my will.

I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.”

“ Rabbi,” the disciples told him,“ just now the Jews tried to stone you, and you’re going there again?”“ Aren’t there twelve hours in a day?” Jesus answered.“ If anyone walks during the day, he doesn’t stumble, because he sees the light of this world.But if anyone walks during the night, he does stumble, because the light is not in him.”

teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

After arranging a day with him, many came to him at his lodging. From dawn to dusk he expounded and testified about the kingdom of God. He tried to persuade them about Jesus from both the Law of Moses and the Prophets.Some were persuaded by what he said, but others did not believe.Disagreeing among themselves, they began to leave after Paul made one statement:“ The Holy Spirit was right in saying to your ancestors through the prophet Isaiahwhen he said, Go to these people and say: You will always be listening, but never understanding; and you will always be looking, but never perceiving.For the hearts of these people have grown callous, their ears are hard of hearing, and they have shut their eyes; otherwise they might see with their eyes and hear with their ears, understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.Therefore, let it be known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen.”

and saw him telling me,‘ Hurry and get out of Jerusalem quickly, because they will not accept your testimony about me.’

Do not fear, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel. I will help you”— this is the LORD’s declaration. Your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

“ I will not leave you as orphans; I am coming to you.

“ And now I am on my way to Jerusalem, compelled by the Spirit, not knowing what I will encounter there,

Now I urge you to take courage, because there will be no loss of any of your lives, but only of the ship.For last night an angel of the God I belong to and serve stood by meand said,‘ Don’t be afraid, Paul. It is necessary for you to appear before Caesar. And indeed, God has graciously given you all those who are sailing with you.’So take courage, men, because I believe God that it will be just the way it was told to me.

So I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome.For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek.

so that it has become known throughout the whole imperial guard, and to everyone else, that my imprisonment is because I am in Christ.
