我親愛的弟兄姊妹，請記住：每個人都要快快地聽，慢慢地說，慢慢地動怒。

忘記上帝的人啊，你們要省察，免得我毀滅你們，那時誰也救不了你們。

你們吃我百姓的肉，剝我百姓的皮，打碎他們的骨頭，把他們切成塊，如同下在鍋裡、放進釜中的肉。

這人被猶太人抓住，險些被他們殺害。我得知他是羅馬公民，便帶兵去救了他。

第二天，由騎兵繼續護送，其餘軍兵返回軍營。

眾人聽後，怒氣填胸，高聲喊叫：「以弗所人的亞底米女神真偉大！」全城陷入一片混亂。眾人抓住保羅的兩個同伴——馬其頓人該猶和亞里達古，拖著他們衝進戲院。保羅想進去，但門徒不許他去。他的好友——亞細亞的幾位官員也派人勸他別冒險進入戲院。

別讓他們像獅子般撕裂我，無人搭救。

保羅的外甥聽到這一陰謀，就去軍營通知保羅。

消息一傳開，全城轟動。眾人衝進聖殿把保羅拉出來，隨即關上殿門。正當他們要殺保羅的時候，有人把耶路撒冷發生騷亂的消息報告給羅馬軍營的千夫長，千夫長馬上帶著軍兵和幾個百夫長趕來了。眾人一見千夫長和軍隊，便停止毆打保羅。千夫長上前拿住保羅，命人用兩條鐵鏈把他鎖起來，問他是什麼人、做了什麼事。人群中有人這樣喊，有人那樣喊，情形混亂不堪，千夫長無法辨明真相，便命人將保羅帶回軍營。保羅剛走上臺階，眾人便兇猛地擁擠過來，士兵們只好把他舉起來抬著走。眾人擠在後面喊著說：「殺掉他！」
