Paul looked straight at the Sanhedrin and said,“ My brothers, I have fulfilled my duty to God in all good conscience to this day.”

Paul looked straight at the Sanhedrin.“ My brothers,” he said,“ I have always done my duty to God. To this day I feel that I have done nothing wrong.”

And looking intently at the council, Paul said,“ Brothers, I have lived my life before God in all good conscience up to this day.”

Gazing intently at the high council, Paul began:“ Brothers, I have always lived before God with a clear conscience!”

Paul looked straight at the Sanhedrin and said,“ Brothers, I have lived my life before God in all good conscience to this day.”

Now looking intently at the Council, Paul said,“ Brothers, I have lived my life with an entirely good conscience before God up to this day.”

Then Paul, looking earnestly at the council, said,“ Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.”

And Paul, looking stedfastly on the council, said, Brethren, I have lived before God in all good conscience until this day.

Paul looked intently at the Sanhedrin and said,“ Brothers, I have lived my life before God in all good conscience until this day.”

And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men[ and] brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.

Paul looked directly at the council and said,“ Brothers, I have lived my life with a clear conscience before God to this day.”

Paul, looking steadfastly at the council, said,“ Brothers, I have lived before God in all good conscience until today.”

我感謝上帝，就是我接續祖先用純潔的良心所事奉的上帝，在祈禱中晝夜不停地想念你。

因此，我勉勵自己，對上帝對人，時常存着無虧的良心。

我們所誇的是：我們在世為人，特別是跟你們的關係，是憑着上帝所賜的坦率和真誠，不是靠人的聰明，而是靠上帝的恩惠；這是我們的良心可以作證的。

這是大祭司和議會的眾長老都可以給我作證的。我又從他們那裏領了致弟兄們的書信，往大馬士革去，要把在那裏的信徒綁起來，帶到耶路撒冷受刑。」

雖然我不覺得自己有錯，卻也不能因此判為無罪；審斷我的是主。

請你們為我們禱告；因為我們自覺良心無虧，願意凡事按正道而行。

保羅看出他們一部分是撒都該人，一部分是法利賽人，就在議會中喊着：「諸位弟兄，我是法利賽人，也是法利賽人的子孫。我現在受審問是為有關死人復活的盼望。」

反而把那些暗昧可恥的事棄絕了，不行詭詐，不曲解上帝的道，只將真理顯揚出來，好在上帝面前把自己推薦給各人的良心。

不過，要以溫柔、敬畏的心回答。要存無虧的良心，使你們在何事上被毀謗，就在何事上使那些凌辱你們在基督裏有好品行的人自覺羞愧。

第二天，千夫長為要知道猶太人控告保羅的實情，就解開他，下令祭司長們和全議會的人都聚集，然後將保羅帶下來，叫他站在他們面前。

惡人雖無人追趕也逃跑；義人卻膽壯像獅子。

在議會裏坐着的人都定睛看他，見他的面貌好像天使的面貌。

「諸位父老弟兄，請聽我現在對你們的申辯。」
