保罗说：“我原是犹太人，生在基利家的大数，长在这城里，在迦玛列门下，按着我们祖宗严紧的律法受教，热心侍奉神，像你们众人今日一样。

“我是犹太人，生于基利迦的大数，在耶路撒冷长大，曾在迦玛列门下严格地按着我们祖先的律法接受教育，像你们今日一样热心事奉上帝。

“我是犹太人，生在基利家的大数，在城里长大，按照我们祖宗律法的严格要求，在迦玛列门下受教，我为神热心，好像你们大家今天一样。

“我是犹太人，出生在奇里乞亚省的塔尔苏，在这城里长大；在迦玛列门下，按照我们先祖的律法受了严格的教育；我对神是热心的人，就像今天你们大家一样。

保羅說：「我原是猶太人，生在基利家的大數，長在這城裏，在迦瑪列門下，按着我們祖宗嚴緊的律法受教，熱心事奉神，像你們眾人今日一樣。

『我是猶太人，生於基利家的大數，卻是在這城裏撫養大的，在迦瑪列腳前，按着我們祖宗嚴緊之律法受訓練，本是為上帝而熱心的人，像你們眾人今天一樣。

「我是猶太人，出生在奇里乞亞省的塔爾蘇，在這城裡長大；在迦瑪列門下，按照我們先祖的律法受了嚴格的教育；我對神是熱心的人，就像今天你們大家一樣。

葆樂繼曰：『予乃猶太人、生於基利嘉之笪爾數、長於是邑、曾列迦瑪理門墻、向承祖宗嚴法、虔事天主、亦猶諸君之在今日也。

“ I am a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city. I studied under Gamaliel and was thoroughly trained in the law of our ancestors. I was just as zealous for God as any of you are today.

“ I am a Jew. I was born in Tarsus in Cilicia, but I grew up here in Jerusalem. I studied with Gamaliel. I was well trained by him in the law given to our people long ago. I wanted to serve God as much as any of you do today.

“ I am a Jew, born in Tarsus in Cilicia, but brought up in this city, educated at the feet of Gamaliel according to the strict manner of the law of our fathers, being zealous for God as all of you are this day.

Then Paul said,“ I am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, and I was brought up and educated here in Jerusalem under Gamaliel. As his student, I was carefully trained in our Jewish laws and customs. I became very zealous to honor God in everything I did, just like all of you today.

He continued,“ I am a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia but brought up in this city, educated at the feet of Gamaliel according to the strictness of our ancestral law. I was zealous for God, just as all of you are today.

“ I am a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city, educated under Gamaliel, strictly according to the Law of our fathers, being zealous for God just as you all are today.

“ I am indeed a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, taught according to the strictness of our fathers’ law, and was zealous toward God as you all are today.

I am a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city, at the feet of Gamaliel, instructed according to the strict manner of the law of our fathers, being zealous for God, even as ye all are this day:

He continued,“ I am a Jewish man, born in Tarsus of Cilicia but brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel and educated according to the strict view of our patriarchal law. Being zealous for God, just as all of you are today,

I am verily a man[ which am] a Jew, born in Tarsus,[ a city] in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel,[ and] taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day.

“ I am a Jew, born in Tarsus in Cilicia, but brought up in this city, educated with strictness under Gamaliel according to the law of our ancestors, and was zealous for God just as all of you are today.

“ I am indeed a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, instructed according to the strict tradition of the law of our fathers, being zealous for God, even as you all are today.

主对他说：“起来！往直街去，在犹大的家里，访问一个大数人，名叫扫罗。他正祷告，

但有一个法利赛人，名叫迦玛列，是众百姓所敬重的教法师，在公会中站起来，吩咐人把使徒暂且带到外面去，

我第八天受割礼；我是以色列族、便雅悯支派的人，是希伯来人所生的希伯来人。就律法说，我是法利赛人；就热心说，我是逼迫教会的；就律法上的义说，我是无可指摘的。

他们若肯作见证就晓得，我从起初是按着我们教中最严紧的教门作了法利赛人。

保罗说：“我本是犹太人，生在基利家的大数，并不是无名小城的人。求你准我对百姓说话。”

他们听见，就归荣耀与神，对保罗说：“兄台，你看犹太人中信主的有多少万，并且都为律法热心。

她有一个妹子，名叫马利亚，在耶稣脚前坐着听他的道。

我且说，神弃绝了他的百姓吗？断乎没有！因为我也是以色列人，亚伯拉罕的后裔，属便雅悯支派的。

他疼爱百姓；众圣徒都在他手中。他们坐在他的脚下，领受他的言语。

他们是希伯来人吗？我也是。他们是以色列人吗？我也是。他们是亚伯拉罕的后裔吗？我也是。

当时有称利百地拿会堂的几个人，并有古利奈、亚历山大、基利家、亚细亚各处会堂的几个人，都起来和司提反辩论。

保罗看出大众一半是撒都该人，一半是法利赛人，就在公会中大声说：“弟兄们，我是法利赛人，也是法利赛人的子孙。我现在受审问，是为盼望死人复活。”

以利沙又来到吉甲，那地正有饥荒。先知门徒坐在他面前，他吩咐仆人说：“你将大锅放在火上，给先知门徒熬汤。”

我可以证明，他们向神有热心，但不是按着真知识；因为不知道神的义，想要立自己的义，就不服神的义了。

我又在犹太教中，比我本国许多同岁的人更有长进，为我祖宗的遗传更加热心。

以后我到了叙利亚和基利家境内。

他又往大数去找扫罗，

那些人热心待你们，却不是好意，是要离间你们，叫你们热心待他们。在善事上，常用热心待人，原是好的，却不单我与你们同在的时候才这样。

过了三天，就遇见他在殿里，坐在教师中间，一面听，一面问。

于是写信交付他们，内中说：“使徒和作长老的弟兄们问安提阿、叙利亚、基利家外邦众弟兄的安。

众人出来要看是什么事；到了耶稣那里，看见鬼所离开的那人，坐在耶稣脚前，穿着衣服，心里明白过来，他们就害怕。

弟兄们知道了就送他下凯撒利亚，打发他往大数去。

原来这基遍人不是以色列人，乃是亚摩利人中所剩的；以色列人曾向他们起誓，不杀灭他们，扫罗却为以色列人和犹大人发热心，想要杀灭他们。大卫王召了他们来，

巡抚看了文书，问保罗是哪省的人，既晓得他是基利家人，

他就走遍叙利亚、基利家，坚固众教会。
