在耶路撒冷靠近羊門有一個水池，希伯來話叫作畢士大，池邊有五條走廊。

保羅到了臺階下面的時候，士兵把他抬起來，因為群眾猛擠，

在耶穌的頭以上有一個牌子寫著：“這是猶太人的王。”

彼拉多聽了這些話，就把耶穌帶到外面，到了一個名叫“鋪石地”（希伯來話叫加巴大）的地方，就在那裡開庭審問。

門徒不斷增加的時候，講希臘話的猶太人，埋怨本地的希伯來人，因為在日常的供給上，忽略了他們的寡婦。

保羅就站起來，作了一個手勢，說：“以色列人和敬畏神的人，請聽！

他們把耶穌帶去了。耶穌自己背著十字架出來，到了一個名叫“髑髏”的地方，希伯來話叫各各他。

他們就急忙把自己的衣服放在他腳下的上層（“上層”原文意思不詳，或譯：“沒有裝飾的”）臺階上，然後吹響號角宣告：“耶戶作王了。”

有許多猶太人念了這牌子上所寫的，因為耶穌釘十字架的地方離城不遠，而且那牌子是用希伯來文、拉丁文和希臘文寫的。

牠們有無底坑的使者作王統治牠們。這王的名字，希伯來話叫阿巴頓，希臘話叫阿波倫。

污靈就把眾王聚集在一個地方，希伯來話叫哈米吉多頓。

猶太人把亞歷山大推到前面，群眾中有人把這事的因由告訴他。亞歷山大作了一個手勢，要向民眾申辯。
