But Paul said,“ I am a Jew from Tarsus, in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city; and I implore you, permit me to speak to the people.”

保罗回答说：“我是犹太人，是奇里乞亚省的塔尔苏人，并不是无名之城的公民，请求你准许我向民众说话。”

保羅說：「我本是猶太人，生在基利家的大數，並不是無名小城的人。求你准我對百姓說話。」

保羅說：「我本是猶太人，生在基利家的大數，並不是無名小城的公民。求你准我對百姓說話。」

保羅說：「我是猶太人，來自基利迦的大數，並非無名小城的人。請准許我向百姓講幾句話。」

保羅說：『我是猶太人，是基利家的大數人，並不是無名小城的公民，求千夫長准我對民眾說話。』

保羅回答說：「我是猶太人，是奇里乞亞省的塔爾蘇人，並不是無名之城的公民，請求你准許我向民眾說話。」

葆樂曰：『吾籍猶太、生於基利嘉笪爾數、非蕞爾小邑之公民也！請准我向眾訴說。』

Paul answered,“ I am a Jew, from Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no ordinary city. Please let me speak to the people.”

Paul answered,“ I am a Jew from Tarsus in Cilicia. I am a citizen of an important city. Please let me speak to the people.”

Paul replied,“ I am a Jew, from Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no obscure city. I beg you, permit me to speak to the people.”

“ No,” Paul replied,“ I am a Jew and a citizen of Tarsus in Cilicia, which is an important city. Please, let me talk to these people.”

Paul said,“ I am a Jewish man from Tarsus of Cilicia, a citizen of an important city. Now I ask you, let me speak to the people.”

But Paul said,“ I am a Jew of Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no insignificant city; and I beg you, allow me to speak to the people.”

But Paul said, I am a Jew, of Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and I beseech thee, give me leave to speak unto the people.

Paul said,“ I am a Jewish man from Tarsus of Cilicia, a citizen of an important city. Now I ask you, let me speak to the people.”

But Paul said, I am a man[ which am] a Jew of Tarsus,[ a city] in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and, I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people.

Paul answered,“ I am a Jew from Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of an important city. Please allow me to speak to the people.”

But Paul said,“ I am a Jew, from Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no insignificant city. I beg you, allow me to speak to the people.”

“ I am indeed a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, taught according to the strictness of our fathers’ law, and was zealous toward God as you all are today.

So the Lord said to him,“ Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying.

Then there arose some from what is called the Synagogue of the Freedmen( Cyrenians, Alexandrians, and those from Cilicia and Asia), disputing with Stephen.

And as they bound him with thongs, Paul said to the centurion who stood by,“ Is it lawful for you to scourge a man who is a Roman, and uncondemned?”When the centurion heard that, he went and told the commander, saying,“ Take care what you do, for this man is a Roman.”Then the commander came and said to him,“ Tell me, are you a Roman?” He said,“ Yes.”The commander answered,“ With a large sum I obtained this citizenship.” And Paul said,“ But I was born a citizen.”Then immediately those who were about to examine him withdrew from him; and the commander was also afraid after he found out that he was a Roman, and because he had bound him.

And when the governor had read it, he asked what province he was from. And when he understood that he was from Cilicia,

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;

Then as Paul was about to be led into the barracks, he said to the commander,“ May I speak to you?” He replied,“ Can you speak Greek?

And he went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.

But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people’s matters.Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter.

They wrote this letter by them: The apostles, the elders, and the brethren, To the brethren who are of the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: Greetings.

But Paul said to them,“ They have beaten us openly, uncondemned Romans, and have thrown us into prison. And now do they put us out secretly? No indeed! Let them come themselves and get us out.”

When the brethren found out, they brought him down to Caesarea and sent him out to Tarsus.

This man was seized by the Jews and was about to be killed by them. Coming with the troops I rescued him, having learned that he was a Roman.
