for I will give you such words and a wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.

Although Paul wanted to go in before the people, the disciples did not let him.

You will even be brought before governors and kings because of me, to bear witness to them and to the Gentiles.But when they hand you over, don’t worry about how or what you are to speak. For you will be given what to say at that hour,because it isn’t you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father is speaking through you.

Some in the crowd were shouting one thing and some another. Since he was not able to get reliable information because of the uproar, he ordered him to be taken into the barracks.

After greeting them, he reported in detail what God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.
