第二天，亞基帕和百尼基威風凜凜地來了，同千夫長和城中的顯要進了廳堂。非斯都吩咐一聲，就有人把保羅提出來。

今天的動亂，本來是無緣無故的，我們可能有被控告的危險；關於這次的騷動，我們實在無法解釋。”

腓力斯本來就詳細曉得這道，卻故意拖延他們，說：“等千夫長呂西亞來了，再斷定你們的事。”

難道你不就是不久以前作亂的、帶領四千個殺手到曠野去的那個埃及人嗎？”

人要把你們趕出會堂；並且時候要到，所有要殺害你們的人，以為這樣就是事奉神。

保羅請了一個百夫長來，說：“請你帶這個青年人去見千夫長，他有事要報告。”

眾人聽見他說到這句話，就高聲說：“這樣的人應該從地上除掉，不應該活著！”
