The next day Paul took the men and purified himself along with them. Then he went to the temple to give notice of the date when the days of purification would end and the offering would be made for each of them.

這時候、人們遇見我在殿裏行了清潔禮，沒帶着羣眾，也沒有鬧亂。不過有幾個亞西亞的猶太人——

你帶着這幾個人，同他們行清潔禮，替他們納費，使他們得以剃頭髮。這樣，眾人便可知道所口傳關於你的話都是沒有的事；並且、就是你自己也反而是按規矩行、遵守律法的。

『離俗人的法規是這樣：離俗人離俗的日子足滿的那一天、人要帶他到會棚的出入處；他要把他的供物獻與永恆主、就是一隻一歲以內的完全沒有殘疾的公綿羊羔做燔祭，一隻一歲以內的完全沒有殘疾的母綿羊羔做解罪祭，一隻完全沒有殘疾的公綿羊羔做平安祭，和一筐子無酵的細麵用油調和的哈拉餅、和抹上油的無酵薄餅、以及一併獻上的素祭和奠祭。祭司要在永恆主面前給獻上，也獻那人的解罪祭和燔祭；那隻公綿羊連那一筐無酵餅、他也要獻與永恆主為平安祭；祭司要將它的素祭和奠祭一併獻上。離俗人要在會棚出入處剃他離俗的頭，把他離俗的頭髮放在平安祭下的火上。離俗人剃了他的離俗頭髮以後，祭司要取那煮了的公綿羊一條前腿，又從筐子裏取一個無酵哈拉餅、和一個無酵薄餅，都放在離俗人手中。祭司要拿這些物品搖在永恆主面前做搖獻物：這是屬祭司的聖物，連搖獻的胸帶提獻的腿都是；然後離俗人才可以喝酒。

向猶太人我就成了猶太人，為要贏得猶太人；向律法以下的人、我自己雖不在律法之下，還做律法以下的人，為要贏得律法以下的人。
