They have been informed that you teach all the Jews who live among the Gentiles to turn away from Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children or live according to our customs.

They have been told that you teach Jews to turn away from the Law of Moses. You teach this to the Jews who live among the Gentiles. They think that you teach those Jews not to circumcise their children. They think that you teach them to give up our Jewish ways.

喊着：「以色列人哪，來幫忙！這就是在各處教導眾人糟蹋我們百姓、律法和這地方的人。不但如此，他還帶了希臘人進聖殿，污穢了這聖地。」

我雖然是自由的，不受人管轄，但我甘心作了眾人的僕人，為贏得更多的人。對猶太人，我就作猶太人，為要贏得猶太人；對律法以下的人，我雖不在律法以下，還是作律法以下的人，為要贏得律法以下的人。對沒有律法的人，我就作沒有律法的人，為要贏得沒有律法的人；其實我在上帝面前，不是沒有律法，而是在基督的律法之下。

過了三天，保羅請當地猶太人的領袖來。他們來了，保羅對他們說：「諸位弟兄，雖然我沒有做甚麼事干犯本國的百姓和我們祖宗的規矩，卻在耶路撒冷被囚禁，交在羅馬人的手裏。

基督釋放了我們，為使我們得自由。所以要站穩了，不要再被奴隸的軛挾制。我－保羅告訴你們，你們若受割禮，基督就對你們無益了。我再指着凡受割禮的人確實地說，他有義務遵行全部的律法。你們這要靠律法稱義的是與基督隔絕，從恩典中墜落了。至於我們，我們是靠着聖靈，憑着信心，等候所盼望的義。因為在基督耶穌裏，受割禮不受割禮都沒有功效，惟獨使人發出仁愛的信心才有功效。

信心軟弱的，你們要接納，不同的意見，不要爭論。有人信甚麼都可吃；但那軟弱的，只吃蔬菜。吃的人不可輕看不吃的人；不吃的人也不可評斷吃的人，因為上帝已經接納他了。你是誰，竟評斷別人的僕人呢？他或站立或跌倒，自有他的主人在，而且他也必會站立，因為主能使他站穩。有人看這日比那日強；有人看日日都是一樣。只是各人要在自己的心意上堅定。守日子的人是為主守的。吃的人是為主吃的，因他感謝上帝；不吃的人是為主不吃的，他也感謝上帝。

所以，我的意見是不可難為那歸向上帝的外邦人；但是要寫信吩咐他們禁戒偶像所玷污的東西、血和勒死的牲畜，禁戒淫亂。因為歷代以來，摩西的書在各城都有人宣講，每逢安息日，也在會堂裏誦讀。」

設下假見證，說：「這個人不斷地說話，侮辱神聖的地方和律法。我們曾聽見他說，這拿撒勒人耶穌要毀壞這地方，也要改變摩西所交給我們的規矩。」

有人受割禮後才蒙召，他就不必除去割禮的記號。有人未受割禮前蒙召，他就不必受割禮。受割禮算不了甚麼，不受割禮也算不了甚麼，只要謹守上帝的誡命就是了。

保羅要帶他同去，只因那些地方的猶太人都知道他父親是希臘人，就給他行了割禮。
