They have been informed that you teach all the Jews who live among the Gentiles to turn away from Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children or live according to our customs.

喊叫：「各位以色列人哪，請幫忙！這個人就是那到處教導大家反對我們的民族、律法，反對這地方的！他甚至把希臘人帶進聖殿，玷汙了這聖地。」

我誠然是自由的，不屬於任何人，但我使自己成為所有人的奴僕，為了贏得更多的人。對猶太人，我就成為一個像猶太人那樣的人，為了贏得猶太人；對律法之下的人，雖然我自己不在律法之下，我卻成為一個像是在律法之下的人，為了贏得在律法之下的人；對沒有律法的人，我就成為一個像是沒有律法的人那樣，為了贏得沒有律法的人——對神，我不是沒有律法的，而是在基督的律法之下。

第三天，保羅請猶太人的首領們來。他們聚集了，保羅就對他們說：「各位兄弟，我沒有做過任何反對我們民族或先祖規矩的事，卻做為囚犯從耶路撒冷被交到羅馬人手中。

基督釋放了我們，使我們得自由。所以你們當站立得穩，不要再被奴役的軛所束縛。看，我保羅告訴你們：如果你們要受割禮，基督就對你們毫無益處了。我再次忠告每一個受割禮的人：他有責任遵行全部律法。你們這些藉著律法被稱為義的人，你們是與基督隔絕，從恩典中墮落了。要知道，我們藉著聖靈，本於信，滿懷著稱義的盼望；因為在基督耶穌裡，受割禮或不受割禮都沒有用處，只有藉著愛行出來的信仰才有用處。

你們要接納在信仰上軟弱的人，避免在有爭議的事上辯論。雖然有的人相信什麼都可以吃，但那軟弱的人卻只吃蔬菜。吃的人不要藐視不吃的人，不吃的人也不要評斷吃的人，因為神已經接納他了。你到底是誰，竟然評斷別人的僕人？他或站穩或跌倒，是他自己主人的事；而且他會站得住，因為主能使他站得住。雖然有的人判定這一天比那一天重要，但有的人卻判定每一天都一樣。每個人當在自己理性上確信不疑。注重某一天的人，是為主而注重的；吃的人，是為主而吃的，因為他感謝神；不吃的人，也是為主不吃的，他也感謝神。

因此，我判定不可為難那些歸向神的外邦人，不過要寫信給他們：要遠避偶像的汙穢，遠避淫亂、勒死的動物和血。因為自古以來，在各城裡都有人宣講摩西，每逢安息日在各會堂裡都有人誦讀他的書。」

並且推出假見證人說：「這個人不斷地說褻瀆神的話語，反對這聖所和律法。我們曾聽到他說，這個拿撒勒人耶穌要拆毀這地方，也要改變摩西傳給我們的規矩。」

如果一個人蒙召的時候已經受了割禮，就不應該取消割禮的記號；如果一個人蒙召的時候沒有受割禮，就不應該受割禮。受割禮不重要，不受割禮也不重要，重要的是遵守神的命令。

保羅想要帶他一起去，但為了那些地方的猶太人的緣故，就給他行了割禮，因為大家都知道他父親是希臘人。
