They have been informed that you teach all the Jews who live among the Gentiles to turn away from Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children or live according to our customs.

They have been told that you teach Jews to turn away from the Law of Moses. You teach this to the Jews who live among the Gentiles. They think that you teach those Jews not to circumcise their children. They think that you teach them to give up our Jewish ways.

喊叫著說：“以色列人哪，快來幫忙！這個人到處教導眾人反對人民，反對律法和這個地方，他甚至把希臘人也帶進殿裡，污穢了這聖地。”

我雖然自由，不受任何人管轄，但我自願成為眾人的奴僕，為的是要多得一些人。對猶太人，我就作猶太人，為了要得著猶太人；對律法以下的人，雖然我自己不在律法之下，還是作了律法以下的人，為了要得著律法以下的人。對沒有律法的人，我就作了沒有律法的人，其實我不是在神的律法以外，而是在基督的律法之下，為了要得著沒有律法的人。

過了三天，保羅請猶太人的首領來。他們都到了，保羅說：“各位弟兄，我雖然沒有作過甚麼事反對人民或者反對祖先的規例，卻像囚犯被逮捕，從耶路撒冷交到羅馬人的手裡。

基督釋放了我們，為了要使我們得自由。所以你們要站立得穩，不要再被奴役的軛控制。我保羅現在告訴你們，如果你們受割禮，基督對你們就毫無益處了。我再對所有受割禮的人鄭重聲明：他有責任遵行全部的律法。你們這些靠律法稱義的人，是和基督隔絕，從恩典中墜落了。我們靠著聖靈，憑著信，熱切等候所盼望的義。因為在基督耶穌裡，受割禮或不受割禮，都沒有用處，唯有那藉著愛表達出來的信，才有用處。

你們要接納信心軟弱的人，不要論斷引起爭論的事。有人相信所有的食物都可以吃，信心軟弱的人卻只吃蔬菜。吃的人不要輕看不吃的人，不吃的人也不要批評吃的人，因為神已經接納他了。你是誰，竟然批評別人的家僕呢？他或站穩或跌倒，只和自己的主人有關；但他必定站穩，因為主能夠使他站穩。有人認為這日比那日好，也有人認為日日都是一樣；只要各人自己心意堅定就可以了。守日的人是為主守的，吃的人是為主吃的，因為他感謝神；不吃的人是為主不吃，他也感謝神。

“所以我認為不可難為這些歸服神的外族人，只要寫信叫他們禁戒偶像的污穢、淫亂，勒死的牲畜和血。因為自古以來，在各城裡都有人宣講摩西的書，每逢安息日，在各會堂裡都有人誦讀。”

並且造了假的證供說：“這人不斷抨擊聖地和律法。我們聽他說過：‘這拿撒勒人耶穌要毀壞這地方，改變摩西傳給我們的規例。’”

有人受了割禮而蒙召的嗎？他就不要遮掩割禮的記號。有人未受割禮而蒙召的嗎？他就不要受割禮。割禮算不得甚麼，沒有割禮也算不得甚麼，要緊的是遵守神的命令。

保羅有意要他一同出去，但為了那些地方的猶太人，就給他行了割禮，因為他們都知道他父親是希臘人。
