If I find favor in the LORD’s sight he will bring me back and enable me to see both it and his dwelling place again.However, if he should say,‘ I do not take pleasure in you,’ then he will deal with me in a way that he considers appropriate.”

Hezekiah said to Isaiah,“ The LORD’s word which you have announced is appropriate.” Then he added,“ At least there will be peace and stability during my lifetime.”

May the sovereign God grant you mercy before the man so that he may release your other brother and Benjamin! As for me, if I lose my children I lose them.”

So Samuel told him everything. He did not hold back anything from him. Eli said,“ The LORD will do what he pleases.”

So he said to them,“ When you pray, say: Father, may your name be honored; may your kingdom come.
