And he came to us and took Paul’s belt and bound his own feet and hands, and said,“ This is what the Holy Spirit says:‘ In this way the Jews in Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and hand him over to the Gentiles.’ ”

到了我們這裏，就拿保羅的腰帶捆上自己的手腳，說：「聖靈說：猶太人在耶路撒冷，要如此捆綁這腰帶的主人，把他交在外邦人手裏。」

取葆樂腰巾、自束手足、曰：『聖神言猶太人在耶路撒冷對此巾所有者、亦將如是捆縛、以交付異族之手。』

Coming over to us, he took Paul’s belt, tied his own hands and feet with it and said,“ The Holy Spirit says,‘ In this way the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem will bind the owner of this belt and will hand him over to the Gentiles.’”

He came over to us. Then he took Paul’s belt and tied his own hands and feet with it. He said,“ The Holy Spirit says,‘ This is how the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem will tie up the owner of this belt. They will hand him over to the Gentiles.’ ”

And coming to us, he took Paul’s belt and bound his own feet and hands and said,“ Thus says the Holy Spirit,‘ This is how the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”

He came over, took Paul’s belt, and bound his own feet and hands with it. Then he said,“ The Holy Spirit declares,‘ So shall the owner of this belt be bound by the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem and turned over to the Gentiles.’”

He came to us, took Paul’s belt, tied his own feet and hands, and said,“ This is what the Holy Spirit says:‘ In this way the Jews in Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him over to the Gentiles.’”

When he had come to us, he took Paul’s belt, bound his own hands and feet, and said,“ Thus says the Holy Spirit,‘ so shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man who owns this belt, and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”

And coming to us, and taking Paul’s girdle, he bound his own feet and hands, and said, Thus saith the Holy Spirit, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.

He came to us, took Paul’s belt, tied his own feet and hands, and said,“ This is what the Holy Spirit says:‘ In this way the Jews in Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him into Gentile hands.’”

And when he was come unto us, he took Paul’s girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver[ him] into the hands of the Gentiles.

He came to us, took Paul’s belt, tied his own hands and feet with it, and said,“ The Holy Spirit says this:‘ This is the way the Jews in Jerusalem will tie up the man whose belt this is, and will hand him over to the Gentiles.’”

Coming to us and taking Paul’s belt, he bound his own feet and hands, and said,“ The Holy Spirit says:‘ So the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt, and will deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”

Then the commander came up and took hold of him, and ordered that he be bound with two chains; and he began asking who he was and what he had done.

Then Samuel turned to go, but Saul grasped the edge of his robe, and it tore off.So Samuel said to him,“ The Lord has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today and has given it to your neighbor, who is better than you.

This is what the Lord said to me:“ Go and buy yourself a linen undergarment and put it around your waist, but do not put it in water.”So I bought the undergarment in accordance with the word of the Lord, and put it around my waist.Then the word of the Lord came to me a second time, saying,“ Take the undergarment that you bought, which is around your waist, and arise, go to the Euphrates and hide it there in a crevice of the rock.”So I went and hid it by the Euphrates, as the Lord had commanded me.After many days the Lord said to me,“ Arise, go to the Euphrates and take from there the undergarment which I commanded you to hide there.”Then I went to the Euphrates and dug, and I took the undergarment from the place where I had hidden it; and behold, the undergarment was ruined, it was completely useless.Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ To the same extent I will destroy the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem.This wicked people, who refuse to listen to My words, who walk in the stubbornness of their hearts and have followed other gods to serve them and to bow down to them, let them be just like this undergarment which is completely useless.For as the undergarment clings to the waist of a man, so I made the entire household of Israel and the entire household of Judah cling to Me,’ declares the Lord,‘ so that they might be My people, for renown, for praise, and for glory; but they did not listen.’

except that the Holy Spirit solemnly testifies to me in every city, saying that chains and afflictions await me.

For this reason, therefore, I requested to see you and to speak with you, since I am wearing this chain for the sake of the hope of Israel.”

But after two years had passed, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus; and Felix, wanting to do the Jews a favor, left Paul imprisoned.

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made horns of iron for himself and said,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ With these you will gore the Arameans until they are destroyed!’ ”

But when they stretched him out with straps, Paul said to the centurion who was standing by,“ Is it lawful for you to flog a man who is a Roman and uncondemned?”

It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven— things into which angels long to look.

And it came about at that time, when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, that the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him on the road. Now Ahijah had clothed himself with a new cloak; and both of them were alone in the field.Then Ahijah took hold of the new cloak which was on him and tore it into twelve pieces.And he said to Jeroboam,“ Take for yourself ten pieces; for this is what the Lord, the God of Israel says:‘ Behold, I am going to tear the kingdom away from the hand of Solomon and give you ten tribes

“ Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death,and they will hand Him over to the Gentiles to mock and flog and crucify, and on the third day He will be raised up.”

They passed through the Phrygian and Galatian region, after being forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia;

And Paul said,“ I would wish to God that even in a short or long time not only you, but also all who hear me this day would become such as I myself am, except for these chains.”

And when they disagreed with one another, they began leaving after Paul said one parting statement:“ The Holy Spirit rightly spoke through Isaiah the prophet to your fathers,

After three days Paul called together those who were the leading men of the Jews, and when they came together, he began saying to them,“ Brothers, though I had done nothing against our people or the customs of our fathers, yet I was handed over to the Romans as a prisoner from Jerusalem.

Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called,

Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says,“ Today if you hear His voice,

While they were serving the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said,“ Set Barnabas and Saul apart for Me for the work to which I have called them.”

for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

And Elisha said to him,“ Take a bow and arrows.” So he took a bow and arrows.Then Elisha said to the king of Israel,“ Lay your hand on the bow.” And he laid his hand on it, then Elisha put his hands on the king’s hands.And he said,“ Open the window toward the east,” and he opened it. Then Elisha said,“ Shoot!” So he shot. And he said,“ The Lord’s arrow of victory, and the arrow of victory over Aram; for you will defeat the Arameans at Aphek until you have put an end to them.”Then he said,“ Take the arrows,” and he took them. And he said to the king of Israel,“ Strike the ground,” and he struck it three times and stopped.Then the man of God became angry at him and said,“ You should have struck five or six times, then you would have struck Aram until you put an end to it. But now you shall strike Aram only three times.”

For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles—

For you showed sympathy to the prisoners and accepted joyfully the seizure of your property, knowing that you have for yourselves a better and lasting possession.

I have also spoken to the prophets, And I provided many visions, And through the prophets I spoke in parables.

for I will show him how much he must suffer in behalf of My name.”

Now when morning came, all the chief priests and the elders of the people conferred together against Jesus to put Him to death;and they bound Him and led Him away, and handed Him over to Pilate the governor.

for which I suffer hardship even to imprisonment as a criminal; but the word of God is not imprisoned.

“ Then you are to break the jar in the sight of the men who accompany you,and say to them,‘ This is what the Lord of armies says:“ To the same extent I will break this people and this city, just as one breaks a potter’s vessel, which cannot again be repaired; and they will bury their dead in Topheth, because there is no other place for burial.

And the people said to me,“ Will you not tell us what these things mean for us, that you are doing?”Then I said to them,“ The word of the Lord came to me, saying,‘ Speak to the house of Israel,“ This is what the Lord God says:‘ Behold, I am about to profane My sanctuary, the pride of your power, that which is precious in your eyes and the longing of your soul; and your sons and your daughters whom you have left behind will fall by the sword.And you will do just as I have done; you will not cover your mustache, and you will not eat the bread of other people.Your turbans will be on your heads, and your sandals on your feet. You will not mourn and you will not weep; but you will rot away in your guilty deeds, and you will groan to one another.So Ezekiel will be a sign to you; according to all that he has done, you will do. When it comes, then you will know that I am the Lord God.’ ”‘ As for you, son of man, will it not be on the day when I take from them their stronghold, the joy of their splendor, that which is precious in their eyes and their heart’s longing, their sons and their daughters,
