And coming to us, he took Paul’s belt and bound his own feet and hands and said,“ Thus says the Holy Spirit,‘ This is how the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”

到了我們這裏，就拿保羅的腰帶捆上自己的手腳，說：「聖靈說：猶太人在耶路撒冷，要如此捆綁這腰帶的主人，把他交在外邦人手裏。」

Coming over to us, he took Paul’s belt, tied his own hands and feet with it and said,“ The Holy Spirit says,‘ In this way the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem will bind the owner of this belt and will hand him over to the Gentiles.’”

He came over to us. Then he took Paul’s belt and tied his own hands and feet with it. He said,“ The Holy Spirit says,‘ This is how the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem will tie up the owner of this belt. They will hand him over to the Gentiles.’ ”

He came over, took Paul’s belt, and bound his own feet and hands with it. Then he said,“ The Holy Spirit declares,‘ So shall the owner of this belt be bound by the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem and turned over to the Gentiles.’”

He came to us, took Paul’s belt, tied his own feet and hands, and said,“ This is what the Holy Spirit says:‘ In this way the Jews in Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him over to the Gentiles.’”

And coming to us, and taking Paul’s girdle, he bound his own feet and hands, and said, Thus saith the Holy Spirit, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.

He came to us, took Paul’s belt, tied his own feet and hands, and said,“ This is what the Holy Spirit says:‘ In this way the Jews in Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him into Gentile hands.’”

And when he was come unto us, he took Paul’s girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver[ him] into the hands of the Gentiles.

He came to us, took Paul’s belt, tied his own hands and feet with it, and said,“ The Holy Spirit says this:‘ This is the way the Jews in Jerusalem will tie up the man whose belt this is, and will hand him over to the Gentiles.’”

Coming to us and taking Paul’s belt, he bound his own feet and hands, and said,“ The Holy Spirit says:‘ So the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt, and will deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”

Then the tribune came up and arrested him and ordered him to be bound with two chains. He inquired who he was and what he had done.

As Samuel turned to go away, Saul seized the skirt of his robe, and it tore.And Samuel said to him,“ The Lord has torn the kingdom of Israel from you this day and has given it to a neighbor of yours, who is better than you.

Thus says the Lord to me,“ Go and buy a linen loincloth and put it around your waist, and do not dip it in water.”So I bought a loincloth according to the word of the Lord, and put it around my waist.And the word of the Lord came to me a second time,“ Take the loincloth that you have bought, which is around your waist, and arise, go to the Euphrates and hide it there in a cleft of the rock.”So I went and hid it by the Euphrates, as the Lord commanded me.And after many days the Lord said to me,“ Arise, go to the Euphrates, and take from there the loincloth that I commanded you to hide there.”Then I went to the Euphrates, and dug, and I took the loincloth from the place where I had hidden it. And behold, the loincloth was spoiled; it was good for nothing.Then the word of the Lord came to me:“ Thus says the Lord: Even so will I spoil the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem.This evil people, who refuse to hear my words, who stubbornly follow their own heart and have gone after other gods to serve them and worship them, shall be like this loincloth, which is good for nothing.For as the loincloth clings to the waist of a man, so I made the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah cling to me, declares the Lord, that they might be for me a people, a name, a praise, and a glory, but they would not listen.

except that the Holy Spirit testifies to me in every city that imprisonment and afflictions await me.

For this reason, therefore, I have asked to see you and speak with you, since it is because of the hope of Israel that I am wearing this chain.”

When two years had elapsed, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus. And desiring to do the Jews a favor, Felix left Paul in prison.

And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made for himself horns of iron and said,“ Thus says the Lord,‘ With these you shall push the Syrians until they are destroyed.’”

But when they had stretched him out for the whips, Paul said to the centurion who was standing by,“ Is it lawful for you to flog a man who is a Roman citizen and uncondemned?”

It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look.

And at that time, when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him on the road. Now Ahijah had dressed himself in a new garment, and the two of them were alone in the open country.Then Ahijah laid hold of the new garment that was on him, and tore it into twelve pieces.And he said to Jeroboam,“ Take for yourself ten pieces, for thus says the Lord, the God of Israel,‘ Behold, I am about to tear the kingdom from the hand of Solomon and will give you ten tribes

“ See, we are going up to Jerusalem. And the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to deathand deliver him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified, and he will be raised on the third day.”

And they went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia.

And Paul said,“ Whether short or long, I would to God that not only you but also all who hear me this day might become such as I am— except for these chains.”

And disagreeing among themselves, they departed after Paul had made one statement:“ The Holy Spirit was right in saying to your fathers through Isaiah the prophet:

After three days he called together the local leaders of the Jews, and when they had gathered, he said to them,“ Brothers, though I had done nothing against our people or the customs of our fathers, yet I was delivered as a prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called,

Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says,“ Today, if you hear his voice,

While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said,“ Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.

And Elisha said to him,“ Take a bow and arrows.” So he took a bow and arrows.Then he said to the king of Israel,“ Draw the bow,” and he drew it. And Elisha laid his hands on the king’s hands.And he said,“ Open the window eastward,” and he opened it. Then Elisha said,“ Shoot,” and he shot. And he said,“ The Lord’s arrow of victory, the arrow of victory over Syria! For you shall fight the Syrians in Aphek until you have made an end of them.”And he said,“ Take the arrows,” and he took them. And he said to the king of Israel,“ Strike the ground with them.” And he struck three times and stopped.Then the man of God was angry with him and said,“ You should have struck five or six times; then you would have struck down Syria until you had made an end of it, but now you will strike down Syria only three times.”

For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles—

For you had compassion on those in prison, and you joyfully accepted the plundering of your property, since you knew that you yourselves had a better possession and an abiding one.

I spoke to the prophets; it was I who multiplied visions, and through the prophets gave parables.

For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name.”

When morning came, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death.And they bound him and led him away and delivered him over to Pilate the governor.

for which I am suffering, bound with chains as a criminal. But the word of God is not bound!

“ Then you shall break the flask in the sight of the men who go with you,and shall say to them,‘ Thus says the Lord of hosts: So will I break this people and this city, as one breaks a potter’s vessel, so that it can never be mended. Men shall bury in Topheth because there will be no place else to bury.

And the people said to me,“ Will you not tell us what these things mean for us, that you are acting thus?”Then I said to them,“ The word of the Lord came to me:‘ Say to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the delight of your eyes, and the yearning of your soul, and your sons and your daughters whom you left behind shall fall by the sword.And you shall do as I have done; you shall not cover your lips, nor eat the bread of men.Your turbans shall be on your heads and your shoes on your feet; you shall not mourn or weep, but you shall rot away in your iniquities and groan to one another.Thus shall Ezekiel be to you a sign; according to all that he has done you shall do. When this comes, then you will know that I am the Lord God.’“ As for you, son of man, surely on the day when I take from them their stronghold, their joy and glory, the delight of their eyes and their soul’s desire, and also their sons and daughters,
