And coming to us, and taking Paul’s girdle, he bound his own feet and hands, and said, Thus saith the Holy Spirit, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.

取葆樂腰巾、自束手足、曰：『聖神言猶太人在耶路撒冷對此巾所有者、亦將如是捆縛、以交付異族之手。』

Coming over to us, he took Paul’s belt, tied his own hands and feet with it and said,“ The Holy Spirit says,‘ In this way the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem will bind the owner of this belt and will hand him over to the Gentiles.’”

He came over to us. Then he took Paul’s belt and tied his own hands and feet with it. He said,“ The Holy Spirit says,‘ This is how the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem will tie up the owner of this belt. They will hand him over to the Gentiles.’ ”

And coming to us, he took Paul’s belt and bound his own feet and hands and said,“ Thus says the Holy Spirit,‘ This is how the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”

He came over, took Paul’s belt, and bound his own feet and hands with it. Then he said,“ The Holy Spirit declares,‘ So shall the owner of this belt be bound by the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem and turned over to the Gentiles.’”

He came to us, took Paul’s belt, tied his own feet and hands, and said,“ This is what the Holy Spirit says:‘ In this way the Jews in Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him over to the Gentiles.’”

Then the chief captain came near, and laid hold on him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains; and inquired who he was, and what he had done.

And as Samuel turned about to go away, Saul laid hold upon the skirt of his robe, and it rent.And Samuel said unto him, Jehovah hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbor of thine, that is better than thou.

Thus saith Jehovah unto me, Go, and buy thee a linen girdle, and put it upon thy loins, and put it not in water.So I bought a girdle according to the word of Jehovah, and put it upon my loins.And the word of Jehovah came unto me the second time, saying,Take the girdle that thou hast bought, which is upon thy loins, and arise, go to the Euphrates, and hide it there in a cleft of the rock.So I went, and hid it by the Euphrates, as Jehovah commanded me.And it came to pass after many days, that Jehovah said unto me, Arise, go to the Euphrates, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded thee to hide there.Then I went to the Euphrates, and digged, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it; and, behold, the girdle was marred, it was profitable for nothing.Then the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,Thus saith Jehovah, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.This evil people, that refuse to hear my words, that walk in the stubbornness of their heart, and are gone after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is profitable for nothing.For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith Jehovah; that they may be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.

save that the Holy Spirit testifieth unto me in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.

For this cause therefore did I entreat you to see and to speak with me: for because of the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.

But when two years were fulfilled, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus; and desiring to gain favor with the Jews, Felix left Paul in bonds.

And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron, and said, Thus saith Jehovah, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until they be consumed.

And when they had tied him up with the thongs, Paul said unto the centurion that stood by, Is it lawful for you to scourge a man that is a Roman, and uncondemned?

To whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto you, did they minister these things, which now have been announced unto you through them that preached the gospel unto you by the Holy Spirit sent forth from heaven; which things angels desire to look into.

And it came to pass at that time, when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, that the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him in the way; now Ahijah had clad himself with a new garment; and they two were alone in the field.And Ahijah laid hold of the new garment that was on him, and rent it in twelve pieces.And he said to Jeroboam, Take thee ten pieces; for thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to thee

Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests and scribes; and they shall condemn him to death,and shall deliver him unto the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify: and the third day he shall be raised up.

And they went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden of the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia;

And Paul said, I would to God, that whether with little or with much, not thou only, but also all that hear me this day, might become such as I am, except these bonds.

And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Spirit through Isaiah the prophet unto your fathers,

And it came to pass, that after three days he called together those that were the chief of the Jews: and when they were come together, he said unto them, I, brethren, though I had done nothing against the people, or the customs of our fathers, yet was delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans:

I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beseech you to walk worthily of the calling wherewith ye were called,

Wherefore, even as the Holy Spirit saith, To- day if ye shall hear his voice,

And as they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

And Elisha said unto him, Take bow and arrows; and he took unto him bow and arrows.And he said to the king of Israel, Put thy hand upon the bow; and he put his hand upon it. And Elisha laid his hands upon the king’s hands.And he said, Open the window eastward; and he opened it. Then Elisha said, Shoot; and he shot. And he said, Jehovah’s arrow of victory, even the arrow of victory over Syria; for thou shalt smite the Syrians in Aphek, till thou have consumed them.And he said, Take the arrows; and he took them. And he said unto the king of Israel, Smite upon the ground; and he smote thrice, and stayed.And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times: then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it; whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice.

For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus in behalf of you Gentiles,—

For ye both had compassion on them that were in bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your possessions, knowing that ye have for yourselves a better possession and an abiding one.

I have also spoken unto the prophets, and I have multiplied visions; and by the ministry of the prophets have I used similitudes.

for I will show him how many things he must suffer for my name’s sake.

Now when morning was come, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:and they bound him, and led him away, and delivered him up to Pilate the governor.

wherein I suffer hardship unto bonds, as a malefactor; but the word of God is not bound.

Then shalt thou break the bottle in the sight of the men that go with thee,and shalt say unto them, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Even so will I break this people and this city, as one breaketh a potter’s vessel, that cannot be made whole again; and they shall bury in Topheth, till there be no place to bury.

And the people said unto me, Wilt thou not tell us what these things are to us, that thou doest so?Then I said unto them, The word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,Speak unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pitieth; and your sons and your daughters whom ye have left behind shall fall by the sword.And ye shall do as I have done: ye shall not cover your lips, nor eat the bread of men.And your tires shall be upon your heads, and your shoes upon your feet: ye shall not mourn nor weep; but ye shall pine away in your iniquities, and moan one toward another.Thus shall Ezekiel be unto you a sign; according to all that he hath done shall ye do: when this cometh, then shall ye know that I am the Lord Jehovah.And thou, son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that whereupon they set their heart, their sons and their daughters,
