他又拿起餅來，祝謝了，就擘開，遞給他們，說：「這是我的身體，為你們捨的，你們要如此行，為的是記念我。」

他們和保羅約定了日子，就有許多人到他的住處來。保羅從早到晚向他們講解這事，為上帝的國作證，並引摩西的律法和先知的書勸導他們信從耶穌。

那日的四分之一，他們站在自己的地方念耶和華－他們上帝的律法書，又在那日的四分之一認罪，敬拜耶和華－他們的上帝。

所以你們要警醒，記念我三年之久，晝夜不斷地流淚勸戒你們各人。

我現在吩咐你們這話不是在稱讚你們，因為你們聚會是有損無益的。首先，我聽說你們教會聚會的時候有分裂的事，我也有些相信這話。在你們中間必然有分門結黨的事，好使那些經得起考驗的人顯明出來。你們聚會的時候，不是在吃主的晚餐，因為吃的時候，各人先吃自己的飯，甚至有人飢餓，有人酒醉。難道你們沒有家可以吃喝嗎？還是你們藐視上帝的教會，使那沒有的羞愧呢？我該對你們說甚麼呢？我要稱讚你們嗎？在這事上我絕不稱讚你們！我當日傳給你們的是從主所領受的。主耶穌被出賣的那一夜，拿起餅來，祝謝了，就擘開，說：「這是我的身體，為你們捨的；你們要如此行，為的是記念我。」飯後，他也照樣拿起杯來，說：「這杯是用我的血所立的新約；你們每逢喝的時候，要如此行，來記念我。」你們每逢吃這餅，喝這杯，是宣告主的死，直到他來。所以，任何不按規矩吃了主的餅，喝了主的杯，就是干犯主的身體和主的血了。人應該省察自己，然後吃這餅，喝這杯。因為人吃喝，若不分辨是主的身體，他的吃喝就是定自己的罪了。因此，在你們中間有好些軟弱的與患病的，長眠了的也不少。我們若是先省察自己，就不至於受審判。我們受審判的時候，就是被主管教，這樣就免得和世人一同被定罪。所以，我的弟兄們，你們聚會吃晚餐的時候，要彼此等待。若有人餓了，要在家裏先吃，免得你們聚會，反被定罪。其餘的事等我來的時候再安排。

他在水門前的廣場，從清早到中午，在男女和能明白的人面前讀這律法書，眾百姓都側耳而聽。
