But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.As it is written:“ He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.”Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness,while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God,

But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, And He will pay back what he has given.

Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh?Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; You shall cry, and He will say,‘ Here I am.’“ If you take away the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness,If you extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday.The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.Those from among you Shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In.

Then He also said to him who invited Him,“ When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid.But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind.And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just.”

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.

Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees,and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.

Then the King will say to those on His right hand,‘ Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’“ Then the righteous will answer Him, saying,‘ Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’And the King will answer and say to them,‘ Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

how I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house,

Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Strengthen the weak hands, And make firm the feeble knees.

Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.

Remember the prisoners as if chained with them— those who are mistreated— since you yourselves are in the body also.

For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God.

We then who are strong ought to bear with the scruples of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

But a generous man devises generous things, And by generosity he shall stand.

And when I was present with you, and in need, I was a burden to no one, for what I lacked the brethren who came from Macedonia supplied. And in everything I kept myself from being burdensome to you, and so I will keep myself.

For what is it in which you were inferior to other churches, except that I myself was not burdensome to you? Forgive me this wrong!

But what I do, I will also continue to do, that I may cut off the opportunity from those who desire an opportunity to be regarded just as we are in the things of which they boast.

that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you,

A good man deals graciously and lends; He will guide his affairs with discretion.Surely he will never be shaken; The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.He will not be afraid of evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.His heart is established; He will not be afraid, Until he sees his desire upon his enemies.He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever; His horn will be exalted with honor.

Blessed is he who considers the poor; The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.The Lord will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.

If others are partakers of this right over you, are we not even more? Nevertheless we have not used this right, but endure all things lest we hinder the gospel of Christ.
