怎樣凡事謙卑，以眼淚服侍主，又因猶太人的謀害經歷試煉。

過了好些日子，猶太人商議要殺掃羅，但他們的計謀被掃羅知道了。他們晝夜在城門守候着要殺他。

向他求情要對付保羅，把他提到耶路撒冷來，他們要在路上埋伏殺害他。

我又屢次行遠路，遭江河的危險，盜賊的危險，同族人的危險，外族人的危險，城裏的危險，曠野的危險，海中的危險，假弟兄的危險。

我們從前到了馬其頓的時候，身體沒有絲毫安寧，反而到處遭患難，外有紛爭，內有懼怕。

既然我這樣深信，早就有意先到你們那裏去，讓你們得加倍的益處。

保羅又住了好些日子，就辭別了弟兄，坐船到敘利亞去。百基拉、亞居拉和他同去。他因為許過願，就在堅革哩剃了頭髮。

正月十二日，我們從亞哈瓦河邊起行，要往耶路撒冷去。我們上帝的手保佑我們，救我們脫離仇敵和路上埋伏之人的手。

夜間，有異象向保羅顯現。有一個馬其頓人站着求他說：「請你過來，到馬其頓來幫助我們！」

到了天亮，猶太人同謀起誓，說「若不先殺保羅就不吃不喝」。參與這陰謀的有四十多人。他們來見祭司長和長老，說：「我們已經發了重誓，若不先殺保羅就甚麼也不吃。現在你們和議會要通知千夫長，叫他把保羅帶到你們這裏來，假裝要詳細調查他的事；我們已經預備好，在他來到這裏以前就殺掉他。」

他們若說：「你與我們同去，我們要埋伏殺人流血，無故地潛藏，殺害無辜；

以後我到了敘利亞和基利家一帶；

這些事過後，保羅心裏決定要經過馬其頓、亞該亞，就往耶路撒冷去。他說：「我到了那裏以後，也必須到羅馬去看看。」

在我百姓當中有惡人，他們埋伏，好像捕鳥的人在窺探；他們設羅網陷害人。

我們望見塞浦路斯，就從南邊行過，往敘利亞去，在推羅上岸，因為船要在那裏卸貨。
