向他求情要对付保罗，把他提到耶路撒冷来，他们要在路上埋伏杀害他。

我又屡次行远路，遭江河的危险，盗贼的危险，同族人的危险，外族人的危险，城里的危险，旷野的危险，海中的危险，假弟兄的危险。

我们从前到了马其顿的时候，身体没有丝毫安宁，反而到处遭患难，外有纷争，内有惧怕。

既然我这样深信，早就有意先到你们那里去，让你们得加倍的益处。

保罗又住了好些日子，就辞别了弟兄，坐船到叙利亚去。百基拉、亚居拉和他同去。他因为许过愿，就在坚革哩剃了头发。

正月十二日，我们从亚哈瓦河边起行，要往耶路撒冷去。我们神的手保佑我们，救我们脱离仇敌和路上埋伏之人的手。

夜间，有异象向保罗显现。有一个马其顿人站着求他说：“请你过来，到马其顿来帮助我们！”

到了天亮，犹太人同谋起誓，说“若不先杀保罗就不吃不喝”。参与这阴谋的有四十多人。他们来见祭司长和长老，说：“我们已经发了重誓，若不先杀保罗就什么也不吃。现在你们和议会要通知千夫长，叫他把保罗带到你们这里来，假装要详细调查他的事；我们已经预备好，在他来到这里以前就杀掉他。”

他们若说：“你与我们同去，我们要埋伏杀人流血，无故地潜藏，杀害无辜；

以后我到了叙利亚和基利家一带；

这些事过后，保罗心里决定要经过马其顿、亚该亚，就往耶路撒冷去。他说：“我到了那里以后，也必须到罗马去看看。”

在我百姓当中有恶人，他们埋伏，好像捕鸟的人在窥探；他们设罗网陷害人。

我们望见塞浦路斯，就从南边行过，往叙利亚去，在推罗上岸，因为船要在那里卸货。
