怎樣以十二分的謙卑做主的僕人，常常流淚、忍受試煉；這些試煉是因猶太人的計謀而臨到我的。

過了好些日子，猶太人一同商議把掃羅殺掉；他們的計謀卻被掃羅知道了。他們竟晝夜把守各城門，要殺掉他；

求個人情要害保羅。叫他打發人將保羅提到耶路撒冷，他們要在路間設埋伏殺掉他。

論旅行、屢次有：有江河的危險，強盜的危險，由同族的危險，由外國人的危險，在城市的危險，在曠野的危險，在海中的危險，在假弟兄中的危險；

雖然如此，我們的身體卻一點鬆息也沒有；就是到了馬其頓、還是這樣；相反的，我們倒凡事遭遇困難；外有衝突，內有憂懼。

既有了這樣的深信，我早就有意思要先到你們那裏去、讓你們重得恩惠；

保羅還繼續住了好些日子，然後辭別弟兄，啓航往敍利亞去；和他同行的有百基拉和亞居拉；保羅先在堅革哩剪頭髮；因為他有願在身。

正月十二日、我們從亞哈瓦河邊拔營起行，要往耶路撒冷去；我們的上帝的手保佑了我們，援救了我們脫離仇敵和路上埋伏之人的手掌。

夜間有異象現給保羅看見；有個馬其頓人站着，求他說：『過來馬其頓、援助我們吧！』

到了天亮，猶太人訂了一個密約，起了誓，非等到殺死保羅、不喫也不喝。訂這陰謀的有四十多人。這些人去見祭司長和長老，說：『我們曾經起了誓，非等到殺死保羅，甚麼也不喫。所以你們那方面、連同議院、如今要知會千夫長，叫他將保羅帶下來到你們這裏，好像要更詳確而察考他、的樣子；我們呢、在他還未走近之先、早已準備好了可以把他殺掉。』

他們若說：『跟我們同來吧！我們來埋伏，流人的血，來無緣無故地潛伏、害無辜的人；

後來我到了敘亞利和基利家地帶。

這些事完了、保羅心靈上定了主意、經過馬其頓亞該亞，就要往耶路撒冷去；他說：『我到了那裏以後，必須也看看羅馬。』

因為在我的人民中有惡人；他們窺探着，像捕鳥人蹲着等；他們設立了毁滅機來捉住人。

我們望見了居比路，就從左邊離開了它，向敍利亞航行，在推羅靠岸；因為船要在那裏卸載。
