怎樣服事主，凡事謙卑，常常流淚，忍受猶太人謀害的試煉。

過了許多日子，猶太人商議要殺掉掃羅；但他們的計謀給掃羅知道了。他們就在各城門日夜把守，要殺掉他。

求他恩准對付保羅，把保羅解來耶路撒冷，他們好埋伏在路上殺死他。

多次行遠路，遇著江河的危險、強盜的危險、同族的危險、外族的危險、城中的危險、曠野的危險、海上的危險、假弟兄的危險；

我們從前到了馬其頓的時候，身體一點安寧也沒有，反而處處遭受患難，外面有爭戰，裡面有恐懼。

我既然有這樣的信念，就打算先到你們那裡，使你們再一次得到恩惠，

保羅住了許多日子，然後辭別弟兄們，坐船去敘利亞，同行的有百基拉和亞居拉。他因為許過願，現在期滿了，就在堅革里剃了頭髮。

“正月十二日，我們從亞哈瓦河啟程，往耶路撒冷去。我們的神的手保佑我們，拯救我們脫離仇敵和在路上埋伏的人的手。

夜間有一個異象向保羅顯現：有一個馬其頓人站著求他說：“請你到馬其頓來，幫助我們！”

到了天亮，猶太人在一起祕密計謀，並且發誓說，不殺保羅，就不吃不喝。一同策劃這項陰謀的有四十多人。他們來見眾祭司長和長老，說：“我們已經發了誓，不殺保羅，就不吃東西。現在你們和公議會要通知千夫長，帶保羅到你們這裡來，裝作要詳細審查他。我們已經預備好了，不等他走近，就把他殺了。”

如果他們說：“你跟我們來吧！我們要埋伏流人的血，我們要無故地潛伏傷害無辜的人；

後來，我到了敘利亞和基利家一帶的地方。

這些事以後，保羅心裡定意要經過馬其頓、亞該亞，往耶路撒冷去。他說：“我到了那邊以後，也該去羅馬看看。”

在我的子民中發現了惡人，他們好像捕鳥的人蹲伏窺探，裝置網羅捕捉人。

我們遠遠看見塞浦路斯，就從南邊駛過，直航敘利亞，在推羅靠了岸，因為船要在那裡卸貨。
