然吾於生命置之度外、無所顧惜。但望能完成吾之行程、及所受於主耶穌之使命、以證天主恩寵之福音而已。

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me— the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.

But my life means nothing to me. My only goal is to finish the race. I want to complete the work the Lord Jesus has given me. He wants me to tell others about the good news of God’s grace.

But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus— the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.

But I consider my life of no value to myself; my purpose is to finish my course and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of God’s grace.

But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of God’s grace.

But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

But I hold not my life of any account as dear unto myself, so that I may accomplish my course, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

But these things don’t count; nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify to the Good News of the grace of God.

Therefore, since we have this ministry, just as God has shown us mercy, we do not become discouraged.

Then Paul replied,“ What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be tied up, but even to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”

For I am already being poured out as an offering, and the time for me to depart is at hand.I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith!Finally the crown of righteousness is reserved for me. The Lord, the righteous Judge, will award it to me in that day– and not to me only, but also to all who have set their affection on his appearing.

Therefore I am content with weaknesses, with insults, with troubles, with persecutions and difficulties for the sake of Christ, for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.

Through Silvanus, whom I know to be a faithful brother, I have written to you briefly, in order to encourage you and testify that this is the true grace of God. Stand fast in it.

And if it is by grace, it is no longer by works, otherwise grace would no longer be grace.

We are experiencing trouble on every side, but are not crushed; we are perplexed, but not driven to despair;we are persecuted, but not abandoned; we are knocked down, but not destroyed,

But now in his own time he has made his message evident through the preaching I was entrusted with according to the command of God our Savior.

for he was counted as one of us and received a share in this ministry.”

From Paul, an apostle( not from men, nor by human agency, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised him from the dead)

Therefore we do not despair, but even if our physical body is wearing away, our inner person is being renewed day by day.For our momentary, light suffering is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparisonbecause we are not looking at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen. For what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal.

But God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us,even though we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ– by grace you are saved!–and he raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,to demonstrate in the coming ages the surpassing wealth of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God;it is not from works, so that no one can boast.For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we may do them.

So then, dear brothers and sisters, be firm. Do not be moved! Always be outstanding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

So they stayed there for a considerable time, speaking out courageously for the Lord, who testified to the message of his grace, granting miraculous signs and wonders to be performed through their hands.

When he came and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with devoted hearts,

And now I entrust you to God and to the message of his grace. This message is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, we must get rid of every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and run with endurance the race set out for us,keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set out for him he endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.Think of him who endured such opposition against himself by sinners, so that you may not grow weary in your souls and give up.

I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending youto open their eyes so that they turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people.

But they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.God publicly displayed him at his death as the mercy seat accessible through faith. This was to demonstrate his righteousness, because God in his forbearance had passed over the sins previously committed.This was also to demonstrate his righteousness in the present time, so that he would be just and the justifier of the one who lives because of Jesus’ faithfulness.

But the Lord said to him,“ Go, because this man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before Gentiles and kings and the people of Israel.

For this reason I ask you not to lose heart because of what I am suffering for you, which is your glory.

Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will trouble, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?As it is written,“ For your sake we encounter death all day long; we were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”No, in all these things we have complete victory through him who loved us!For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor heavenly rulers, nor things that are present, nor things to come, nor powers,nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have attained this. Instead I am single- minded: Forgetting the things that are behind and reaching out for the things that are ahead,with this goal in mind, I strive toward the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.Therefore let those of us who are“ perfect” embrace this point of view. If you think otherwise, God will reveal to you the error of your ways.

But“ when the kindness of God our Savior and his love for mankind appeared,he saved us not by works of righteousness that we have done but on the basis of his mercy, through the washing of the new birth and the renewing of the Holy Spirit,whom he poured out on us in full measure through Jesus Christ our Savior.And so, since we have been justified by his grace, we become heirs with the confident expectation of eternal life.”

testifying to both Jews and Greeks about repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus.

I have great confidence in you; I take great pride on your behalf. I am filled with encouragement; I am overflowing with joy in the midst of all our suffering.

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and I fill up in my physical body– for the sake of his body, the church– what is lacking in the sufferings of Christ.

My confident hope is that I will in no way be ashamed but that with complete boldness, even now as always, Christ will be exalted in my body, whether I live or die.For to me, living is Christ and dying is gain.Now if I am to go on living in the body, this will mean productive work for me, yet I don’t know which I prefer:I feel torn between the two, because I have a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far,

Thus we are full of courage and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.

For in fact you shared the sufferings of those in prison, and you accepted the confiscation of your belongings with joy, because you knew that you certainly had a better and lasting possession.

But they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.

But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message would be fully proclaimed for all the Gentiles to hear. And so I was delivered from the lion’s mouth!

But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice together with all of you.

But the angel said to them,“ Do not be afraid! Listen carefully, for I proclaim to you good news that brings great joy to all the people:Today your Savior is born in the city of David. He is Christ the Lord.

But as God’s servants, we have commended ourselves in every way, with great endurance, in persecutions, in difficulties, in distresses,in beatings, in imprisonments, in riots, in troubles, in sleepless nights, in hunger,by purity, by knowledge, by patience, by benevolence, by the Holy Spirit, by genuine love,by truthful teaching, by the power of God, with weapons of righteousness both for the right hand and for the left,through glory and dishonor, through slander and praise; regarded as impostors, and yet true;as unknown, and yet well- known; as dying and yet– see!– we continue to live; as those who are scourged and yet not executed;as sorrowful, but always rejoicing, as poor, but making many rich, as having nothing, and yet possessing everything.

For if I do this voluntarily, I have a reward. But if I do it unwillingly, I am entrusted with a responsibility.What then is my reward? That when I preach the gospel I may offer the gospel free of charge, and so not make full use of my rights in the gospel.

to the praise of the glory of his grace that he has freely bestowed on us in his dearly loved Son.

Then he said to me,‘ Go, because I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’”

Do you not know that all the runners in a stadium compete, but only one receives the prize? So run to win.Each competitor must exercise self- control in everything. They do it to receive a perishable crown, but we an imperishable one.So I do not run uncertainly or box like one who hits only air.Instead I subdue my body and make it my slave, so that after preaching to others I myself will not be disqualified.

Now the law came in so that the transgression may increase, but where sin increased, grace multiplied all the more,so that just as sin reigned in death, so also grace will reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We have come to know love by this: that Jesus laid down his life for us; thus we ought to lay down our lives for our fellow Christians.

so that no one would be shaken by these afflictions. For you yourselves know that we are destined for this.

I glorified you on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.

Now to the one who works, his pay is not credited due to grace but due to obligation.

But although we suffered earlier and were mistreated in Philippi, as you know, we had the courage in our God to declare to you the gospel of God in spite of much opposition.

as well as the persecutions and sufferings that happened to me in Antioch, in Iconium, and in Lystra. I endured these persecutions and the Lord delivered me from them all.

how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was first communicated through the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard him,while God confirmed their witness with signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.

Because of this, in fact, I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, because I know the one in whom my faith is set and I am convinced that he is able to protect what has been entrusted to me until that day.

and you also will testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.
