長老既至、保羅謂之曰、自我初來亞西亞之日、以至於今、我在爾曹中始終如何、爾曹知之、

既至、葆樂謂之曰：我自初來亞細亞之日、平素如何與爾相處、爾所知也；

When they arrived, he said to them:“ You know how I lived the whole time I was with you, from the first day I came into the province of Asia.

And when they came to him, he said to them:“ You yourselves know how I lived among you the whole time from the first day that I set foot in Asia,

When they arrived he declared,“ You know that from the day I set foot in the province of Asia until now

When they came to him, he said to them,“ You know, from the first day I set foot in Asia, how I was with you the whole time,

And when they had come to him, he said to them:“ You know, from the first day that I came to Asia, in what manner I always lived among you,

And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye yourselves know, from the first day that I set foot in Asia, after what manner I was with you all the time,

And when they came to him, he said to them:“ You know, from the first day I set foot in Asia, how I was with you the whole time—

And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,

When they arrived, he said to them,“ You yourselves know how I lived the whole time I was with you, from the first day I set foot in the province of Asia,

When they had come to him, he said to them,“ You yourselves know, from the first day that I set foot in Asia, how I was with you all the time,

This took place for two years, so that all who lived in Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks.

Now it happened that while Apollos was in Corinth, Paul passed through the upper country and came to Ephesus, and found some disciples.

They came to Ephesus, and he left them there. Now he himself entered the synagogue and reasoned with the Jews.

for our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction; just as you know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sakes.You also became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word during great affliction with the joy of the Holy Spirit,

For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example, because we did not act in an undisciplined way among you,nor did we eat anyone’s bread without paying for it, but with labor and hardship we kept working night and day so that we would not be a burden to any of you;not because we do not have the right to this, but in order to offer ourselves as a role model for you, so that you would follow our example.

giving no reason for taking offense in anything, so that the ministry will not be discredited,but in everything commending ourselves as servants of God, in much endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in difficulties,in beatings, in imprisonments, in mob attacks, in labors, in sleeplessness, in hunger,in purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in genuine love,in the word of truth, and in the power of God; by the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and the left,by glory and dishonor, by evil report and good report; regarded as deceivers and yet true;as unknown and yet well known, as dying and yet behold, we are alive; as punished and yet not put to death,as sorrowful yet always rejoicing, as poor yet making many rich, as having nothing and yet possessing all things.Our mouth has spoken freely to you, you Corinthians, our heart is opened wide.

Now you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance,

For you yourselves know, brothers and sisters, that our reception among you was not in vain,but after we had already suffered and been treated abusively in Philippi, as you know, we had the boldness in our God to speak to you the gospel of God amid much opposition.For our exhortation does not come from error or impurity or by way of deceit;but just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not intending to please people, but to please God, who examines our hearts.For we never came with flattering speech, as you know, nor with a pretext for greed— God is our witness—nor did we seek honor from people, either from you or from others, though we could have asserted our authority as apostles of Christ.But we proved to be gentle among you. As a nursing mother tenderly cares for her own children,in the same way we had a fond affection for you and were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become very dear to us.For you recall, brothers and sisters, our labor and hardship: it was by working night and day so as not to be a burden to any of you, that we proclaimed to you the gospel of God.You are witnesses, and so is God, of how devoutly and rightly and blamelessly we behaved toward you believers;

For our proud confidence is this: the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and godly sincerity, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you.
