You will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters don’t fail.Those who will be of you will build the old waste places. You will raise up the foundations of many generations. You will be called Repairer of the Breach, Restorer of Paths with Dwellings.

What good is it, my brothers, if a man says he has faith, but has no works? Can faith save him?And if a brother or sister is naked and in lack of daily food,and one of you tells them,“ Go in peace. Be warmed and filled;” yet you didn’t give them the things the body needs, what good is it?

He who has pity on the poor lends to Yahweh; he will reward him.

Jesus said to him,“ If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”

There is one who scatters, and increases yet more. There is one who withholds more than is appropriate, but gains poverty.The liberal soul shall be made fat. He who waters shall be watered also himself.

He has dispersed, he has given to the poor. His righteousness endures forever. His horn will be exalted with honor.

I tell you, make for yourselves friends by means of unrighteous mammon, so that when you fail, they may receive you into the eternal tents.

Cast your bread on the waters; for you shall find it after many days.Give a portion to seven, yes, even to eight; for you don’t know what evil will be on the earth.

Sell that which you have, and give gifts to the needy. Make for yourselves purses which don’t grow old, a treasure in the heavens that doesn’t fail, where no thief approaches, neither moth destroys.For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

It is indeed unnecessary for me to write to you concerning the service to the saints,

You have laid up your treasure in the last days.Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies.You have lived in luxury on the earth, and taken your pleasure. You have nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter.
