As a result of the apostles’ work, sick people were brought out into the streets on beds and mats so that Peter’s shadow might fall across some of them as he went by.Crowds came from the villages around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those possessed by evil spirits, and they were all healed.

The apostles testified powerfully to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and God’s great blessing was upon them all.

Then this city will bring me joy, glory, and honor before all the nations of the earth! The people of the world will see all the good I do for my people, and they will tremble with awe at the peace and prosperity I provide for them.

But afterward the people will return and devote themselves to the Lord their God and to David’s descendant, their king. In the last days, they will tremble in awe of the Lord and of his goodness.

But Peter said,“ I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. And as he did, the man’s feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened.He jumped up, stood on his feet, and began to walk! But Peter asked them all to leave the room; then he knelt and prayed. Turning to the body he said,“ Get up, Tabitha.” And she opened her eyes! When she saw Peter, she sat up!

Great fear gripped the entire church and everyone else who heard what had happened.The apostles were performing many miraculous signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers were meeting regularly at the Temple in the area known as Solomon’s Colonnade.But no one else dared to join them, even though all the people had high regard for them.
