Now when they heard this, they were acutely distressed and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles,“ What should we do, brothers?”

When the Gentiles heard this, they began to rejoice and praise the word of the Lord, and all who had been appointed for eternal life believed.

The crowds were paying attention with one mind to what Philip said, as they heard and saw the miraculous signs he was performing.For unclean spirits, crying with loud shrieks, were coming out of many who were possessed, and many paralyzed and lame people were healed.So there was great joy in that city.

and though my physical condition put you to the test, you did not despise or reject me. Instead, you welcomed me as though I were an angel of God, as though I were Christ Jesus himself!Where then is your sense of happiness now? For I testify about you that if it were possible, you would have pulled out your eyes and given them to me!

In those days Peter stood up among the believers( a gathering of about one hundred and twenty people) and said,

Your people willingly follow you when you go into battle. On the holy hills at sunrise the dew of your youth belongs to you.

Simon answered,“ Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing! But at your word I will lower the nets.”When they had done this, they caught so many fish that their nets started to tear.So they motioned to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both boats, so that they were about to sink.

I tell you the solemn truth, the person who believes in me will perform the miraculous deeds that I am doing, and will perform greater deeds than these, because I am going to the Father.

May there be an abundance of grain in the earth; on the tops of the mountains may it sway! May its fruit trees flourish like the forests of Lebanon! May its crops be as abundant as the grass of the earth!May his fame endure! May his dynasty last as long as the sun remains in the sky! May they use his name when they formulate their blessings! May all nations consider him to be favored by God!

And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, when you received the message with joy that comes from the Holy Spirit, despite great affliction.
