Peter said to them,“ Repent, and each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Peter replied,“ Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Peter replied,“ All of you must turn away from your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then your sins will be forgiven. You will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

And Peter said to them,“ Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Peter replied,“ Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Peter replied,“ Repent and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Peter said to them,“ Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Then Peter said to them,“ Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

And Peter said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

“ Repent,” Peter said to them,“ and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Peter said to them,“ Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on his name.’

So he gave orders to have them baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to stay for several days.

and repentance for the forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

But when they believed Philip as he was proclaiming the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they began to be baptized, both men and women.

Therefore repent and turn back so that your sins may be wiped out,

The one who believes and is baptized will be saved, but the one who does not believe will be condemned.

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all those who heard the message.The circumcised believers who had accompanied Peter were greatly astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles,

And this prefigured baptism, which now saves you– not the washing off of physical dirt but the pledge of a good conscience to God– through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

These two went down and prayed for them so that they would receive the Holy Spirit.( For the Spirit had not yet come upon any of them, but they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)Then Peter and John placed their hands on the Samaritans, and they received the Holy Spirit.

Or do you not know that as many as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

Now as they were going along the road, they came to some water, and the eunuch said,“ Look, there is water! What is to stop me from being baptized?”

Paul said,“ John baptized with a baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, in Jesus.”When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus,

From that time Jesus began to preach this message:“ Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”

Therefore, although God has overlooked such times of ignorance, he now commands all people everywhere to repent,

But this is what was spoken about through the prophet Joel:‘ And in the last days it will be,’ God says,‘ that I will pour out my Spirit on all people, and your sons and your daughters will prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.

I will sprinkle you with pure water and you will be clean from all your impurities. I will purify you from all your idols.I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the heart of stone from your body and give you a heart of flesh.I will put my Spirit within you; I will take the initiative and you will obey my statutes and carefully observe my regulations.

“ Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”

but I declared to those in Damascus first, and then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds consistent with repentance.

“ What do you think? A man had two sons. He went to the first and said,‘ Son, go and work in the vineyard today.’The boy answered,‘ I will not.’ But later he had a change of heart and went.The father went to the other son and said the same thing. This boy answered,‘ I will, sir,’ but did not go.Which of the two did his father’s will?” They said,“ The first.” Jesus said to them,“ I tell you the truth, tax collectors and prostitutes will go ahead of you into the kingdom of God!For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him. But the tax collectors and prostitutes did believe. Although you saw this, you did not later change your minds and believe him.

testifying to both Jews and Greeks about repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus.

For I will pour water on the parched ground and cause streams to flow on the dry land. I will pour my spirit on your offspring and my blessing on your children.They will sprout up like a tree in the grass, like poplars beside channels of water.

to open their eyes so that they turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

He said,“ The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the gospel!”

But Peter said to him,“ May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could acquire God’s gift with money!

Is Christ divided? Paul wasn’t crucified for you, was he? Or were you in fact baptized in the name of Paul?I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius,so that no one can say that you were baptized in my name!( I also baptized the household of Stephanus. Otherwise, I do not remember whether I baptized anyone else.)For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel– and not with clever speech, so that the cross of Christ would not become useless.

God exalted him to his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

“ I will pour out on the kingship of David and the population of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication so that they will look to me, the one they have pierced. They will lament for him as one laments for an only son, and there will be a bitter cry for him like the bitter cry for a firstborn.

After she and her household were baptized, she urged us,“ If you consider me to be a believer in the Lord, come and stay in my house.” And she persuaded us.

“ As for me, this is my promise to them,” says the LORD.“ My spirit, who is upon you, and my words, which I have placed in your mouth, will not depart from your mouth or from the mouths of your children and descendants from this time forward,” says the LORD.

Therefore produce fruit that proves your repentance,and don’t think you can say to yourselves,‘ We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that God can raise up children for Abraham from these stones!

They replied,“ Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household.”Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him, along with all those who were in his house.At that hour of the night he took them and washed their wounds; then he and all his family were baptized right away.The jailer brought them into his house and set food before them, and he rejoiced greatly that he had come to believe in God, together with his entire household.

This desolation will continue until new life is poured out on us from heaven. Then the desert will become an orchard and the orchard will be considered a forest.

( 3: 1) After all of this I will pour out my Spirit on all kinds of people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your elderly will have revelatory dreams; your young men will see prophetic visions.Even on male and female servants I will pour out my Spirit in those days.

he saved us not by works of righteousness that we have done but on the basis of his mercy, through the washing of the new birth and the renewing of the Holy Spirit,

Now all the tax collectors and sinners were coming to hear him.But the Pharisees and the experts in the law were complaining,“ This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”So Jesus told them this parable:“ Which one of you, if he has a hundred sheep and loses one of them, would not leave the ninety- nine in the open pasture and go look for the one that is lost until he finds it?Then when he has found it, he places it on his shoulders, rejoicing.Returning home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, telling them,‘ Rejoice with me, because I have found my sheep that was lost.’I tell you, in the same way there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety- nine righteous people who have no need to repent.“ Or what woman, if she has ten silver coins and loses one of them, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search thoroughly until she finds it?Then when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying,‘ Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin that I had lost.’In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.”Then Jesus said,“ A man had two sons.The younger of them said to his father,‘ Father, give me the share of the estate that will belong to me.’ So he divided his assets between them.After a few days, the younger son gathered together all he had and left on a journey to a distant country, and there he squandered his wealth with a wild lifestyle.Then after he had spent everything, a severe famine took place in that country, and he began to be in need.So he went and worked for one of the citizens of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs.He was longing to eat the carob pods the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.But when he came to his senses he said,‘ How many of my father’s hired workers have food enough to spare, but here I am dying from hunger!I will get up and go to my father and say to him,“ Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.I am no longer worthy to be called your son; treat me like one of your hired workers.”’So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way from home his father saw him, and his heart went out to him; he ran and hugged his son and kissed him.Then his son said to him,‘ Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’But the father said to his slaves,‘ Hurry! Bring the best robe, and put it on him! Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet!Bring the fattened calf and kill it! Let us eat and celebrate,because this son of mine was dead, and is alive again– he was lost and is found!’ So they began to celebrate.“ Now his older son was in the field. As he came and approached the house, he heard music and dancing.So he called one of the slaves and asked what was happening.The slave replied,‘ Your brother has returned, and your father has killed the fattened calf because he got his son back safe and sound.’But the older son became angry and refused to go in. His father came out and appealed to him,but he answered his father,‘ Look! These many years I have worked like a slave for you, and I never disobeyed your commands. Yet you never gave me even a goat so that I could celebrate with my friends!But when this son of yours came back, who has devoured your assets with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him!’Then the father said to him,‘ Son, you are always with me, and everything that belongs to me is yours.It was appropriate to celebrate and be glad, for your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost and is found.’”

I will no longer hide my face from them, when I pour out my Spirit on the house of Israel, declares the sovereign LORD.”
