Peter replied,“ Repent and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Peter replied,“ Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Peter replied,“ All of you must turn away from your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then your sins will be forgiven. You will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

And Peter said to them,“ Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Peter replied,“ Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Peter said to them,“ Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Then Peter said to them,“ Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

And Peter said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

“ Repent,” Peter said to them,“ and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Peter said to them,“ Repent, and each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Peter said to them,“ Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

And now, why are you delaying? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on his name.’

He commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to stay for a few days.

and repentance for forgiveness of sins will be proclaimed in his name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

But when they believed Philip, as he proclaimed the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized.

Therefore repent and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out,

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came down on all those who heard the message.The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were amazed because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles.

Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you( not as the removal of dirt from the body, but the pledge of a good conscience toward God) through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

After they went down there, they prayed for them so that the Samaritans might receive the Holy Spirit because he had not yet come down on any of them.( They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)Then Peter and John laid their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

Or are you unaware that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

As they were traveling down the road, they came to some water. The eunuch said,“ Look, there’s water. What would keep me from being baptized?”

Paul said,“ John baptized with a baptism of repentance, telling the people that they should believe in the one who would come after him, that is, in Jesus.”When they heard this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.

From then on Jesus began to preach,“ Repent, because the kingdom of heaven has come near.”

“ Therefore, having overlooked the times of ignorance, God now commands all people everywhere to repent,

On the contrary, this is what was spoken through the prophet Joel:And it will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all people; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.I will even pour out my Spirit on my servants in those days, both men and women and they will prophesy.

I will also sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your impurities and all your idols.I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.I will place my Spirit within you and cause you to follow my statutes and carefully observe my ordinances.

and saying,“ Repent, because the kingdom of heaven has come near!”

Instead, I preached to those in Damascus first, and to those in Jerusalem and in all the region of Judea, and to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works worthy of repentance.

“ What do you think? A man had two sons. He went to the first and said,‘ My son, go work in the vineyard today.’“ He answered,‘ I don’t want to,’ but later he changed his mind and went.Then the man went to the other and said the same thing.‘ I will, sir,’ he answered, but he didn’t go.Which of the two did his father’s will?” They said,“ The first.” Jesus said to them,“ Truly I tell you, tax collectors and prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God before you.For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you didn’t believe him. Tax collectors and prostitutes did believe him; but you, when you saw it, didn’t even change your minds then and believe him.

I testified to both Jews and Greeks about repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus.

For I will pour water on the thirsty land and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your descendants and my blessing on your offspring.They will sprout among the grass like poplars by flowing streams.

to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

“ The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”

But Peter told him,“ May your silver be destroyed with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!

Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in Paul’s name?I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,so that no one can say you were baptized in my name.I did, in fact, baptize the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don’t recall if I baptized anyone else.For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel— not with eloquent wisdom, so that the cross of Christ will not be emptied of its effect.

God exalted this man to his right hand as ruler and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

“ Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on the house of David and the residents of Jerusalem, and they will look at me whom they pierced. They will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child and weep bitterly for him as one weeps for a firstborn.

They said,“ Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved— you and your household.”And they spoke the word of the Lord to him along with everyone in his house.He took them the same hour of the night and washed their wounds. Right away he and all his family were baptized.He brought them into his house, set a meal before them, and rejoiced because he had come to believe in God with his entire household.

until the Spirit from on high is poured out on us. Then the desert will become an orchard, and the orchard will seem like a forest.

After this I will pour out my Spirit on all humanity; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men will have dreams, and your young men will see visions.I will even pour out my Spirit on the male and female slaves in those days.

he saved us— not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to his mercy— through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.

All the tax collectors and sinners were approaching to listen to him.And the Pharisees and scribes were complaining,“ This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”So he told them this parable:“ What man among you, who has a hundred sheep and loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open field and go after the lost one until he finds it?When he has found it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders,and coming home, he calls his friends and neighbors together, saying to them,‘ Rejoice with me, because I have found my lost sheep!’I tell you, in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who don’t need repentance.“ Or what woman who has ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it?When she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together, saying,‘ Rejoice with me, because I have found the silver coin I lost!’I tell you, in the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.”He also said,“ A man had two sons.The younger of them said to his father,‘ Father, give me the share of the estate I have coming to me.’ So he distributed the assets to them.Not many days later, the younger son gathered together all he had and traveled to a distant country, where he squandered his estate in foolish living.After he had spent everything, a severe famine struck that country, and he had nothing.Then he went to work for one of the citizens of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed pigs.He longed to eat his fill from the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one would give him anything.When he came to his senses, he said,‘ How many of my father’s hired workers have more than enough food, and here I am dying of hunger!I’ll get up, go to my father, and say to him,“ Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight.I’m no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired workers.”’So he got up and went to his father. But while the son was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion. He ran, threw his arms around his neck, and kissed him.The son said to him,‘ Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight. I’m no longer worthy to be called your son.’“ But the father told his servants,‘ Quick! Bring out the best robe and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.Then bring the fattened calf and slaughter it, and let’s celebrate with a feast,because this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found!’ So they began to celebrate.“ Now his older son was in the field; as he came near the house, he heard music and dancing.So he summoned one of the servants, questioning what these things meant.‘ Your brother is here,’ he told him,‘ and your father has slaughtered the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’“ Then he became angry and didn’t want to go in. So his father came out and pleaded with him.But he replied to his father,‘ Look, I have been slaving many years for you, and I have never disobeyed your orders, yet you never gave me a goat so that I could celebrate with my friends.But when this son of yours came, who has devoured your assets with prostitutes, you slaughtered the fattened calf for him.’“‘ Son,’ he said to him,‘ you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.But we had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”

I will no longer hide my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the house of Israel.” This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.
