When they heard this, they came under deep conviction and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles:“ Brothers, what must we do?”

Tax collectors also came to be baptized, and they asked him,“ Teacher, what should we do?”

“ Who are You, Lord?” he said.“ I am Jesus, the One you are persecuting,” He replied.“ But get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the ideas and thoughts of the heart.No creature is hidden from Him, but all things are naked and exposed to the eyes of Him to whom we must give an account.

When they heard this, they were enraged and wanted to kill them.

“ Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on the house of David and the residents of Jerusalem, and they will look at Me whom they pierced. They will mourn for Him as one mourns for an only child and weep bitterly for Him as one weeps for a firstborn.

“ Brothers, the Scripture had to be fulfilled that the Holy Spirit through the mouth of David spoke in advance about Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus.
