God has raised this same Jesus back to life. We are all witnesses of this.

God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it.

You killed the one who gives life. But God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you. Then you will tell people about me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria. And you will even tell other people about me from one end of the earth to the other.”

With great power the apostles continued their teaching. They were telling people that the Lord Jesus had risen from the dead. And God’s grace was working powerfully in all of them.

He told them,“ This is what is written. The Messiah will suffer. He will rise from the dead on the third day.His followers will preach in his name. They will tell others to turn away from their sins and be forgiven. People from every nation will hear it, beginning at Jerusalem.You have seen these things with your own eyes.

That time began when John was baptizing. It ended when Jesus was taken up from us. The one we choose must join us in telling people that Jesus rose from the dead.”

“ We are witnesses of everything he did in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by nailing him to a cross.But on the third day God raised him from the dead. God allowed Jesus to be seen.But he wasn’t seen by all the people. He was seen only by us. We are witnesses whom God had already chosen. We ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

A week later, Jesus’ disciples were in the house again. Thomas was with them. Even though the doors were locked, Jesus came in and stood among them. He said,“ May peace be with you!”Then he said to Thomas,“ Put your finger here. See my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”Thomas said to him,“ My Lord and my God!”Then Jesus told him,“ Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen me but still have believed.”Jesus performed many other signs in front of his disciples. They are not written down in this book.But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God. If you believe this, you will have life because you belong to him.

Now Jesus is Prince and Savior. God has proved this by giving Jesus a place of honor with him. He did it to turn Israel away from their sins and forgive them.We are telling people about these things. And so is the Holy Spirit. God has given the Spirit to those who obey him.”

You must also be witnesses about me. That’s because you have been with me from the beginning.
