because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, you will not let your holy one see decay.

You will not leave me in the place of the dead. You will not let your holy one rot away.

For you will not abandon my soul to Hades, or let your Holy One see corruption.

For you will not leave my soul among the dead or allow your Holy One to rot in the grave.

He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

I[ am] he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been[ dead] four days.

For great[ is] thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

O death, where[ is] thy sting? O grave, where[ is] thy victory?

But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

For I know[ that] my redeemer liveth, and[ that] he shall stand at the latter[ day] upon the earth:And[ though] after my skin[ worms] destroy this[ body], yet in my flesh shall I see God:Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another;[ though] my reins be consumed within me.

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;

Saying, Let[ us] alone; what have we to do with thee,[ thou] Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.

The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.

And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars[ was] about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.

And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.

But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.

Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon[ one that is] mighty; I have exalted[ one] chosen out of the people.

For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled[ them] in condemning[ him].And though they found no cause of death[ in him], yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took[ him] down from the tree, and laid[ him] in a sepulchre.But God raised him from the dead:And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead,[ now] no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.Wherefore he saith also in another[ psalm], Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.

For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;
