亲爱的弟兄姊妹，我一直迫切地想写信跟你们谈谈我们所共享的救恩，但现在我觉得有必要写信劝勉你们竭力护卫一次就完整地交给圣徒的真道。

保罗和西拉经过暗非坡里和亚波罗尼亚，到了帖撒罗尼迦。那里有犹太人的会堂。保罗照以往的习惯进入会堂，一连三个安息日引用圣经与当地人讨论，解释、证明基督必须受害，然后从死里复活，又说：“我向你们宣讲的这位耶稣就是基督。”

保罗和巴拿巴一同进入以哥念的犹太会堂讲道，许多犹太人和希腊人信了耶稣。

他们由别加继续前行，来到彼西底区的安提阿。在安息日那天，他们进了会堂坐下来。

然而，我靠着上帝的帮助，到今天还能站在这里向所有尊卑老幼做见证。我讲的不外乎众先知和摩西说过要发生的事，就是基督必须受害，并首先从死里复活，将光明带给犹太人和外族人。”

便到各会堂去宣讲：“耶稣是上帝的儿子。”听的人都大吃一惊，说：“他不就是那在耶路撒冷迫害信徒的人吗？他到这里来不是要把大马士革的信徒押去见祭司长吗？”但扫罗越发有能力，引经据典证明耶稣是基督，使大马士革的犹太人惊慌失措。

到了以弗所，保罗离开亚居拉夫妇，独自进入会堂跟犹太人辩论。
