众人听后，怒气填胸，高声喊叫：“以弗所人的亚底米女神真伟大！”

可是你们都看到了，也听见了，那个保罗在以弗所和亚细亚全境说服、误导了许多人，说什么人手所造的不是神。

你告诉他人不可通奸，自己却通奸吗？你憎恶偶像，自己却去偷庙里的东西吗？

“你们祷告时不可像外族人那样喋喋不休，他们以为长篇大论，就必蒙上帝垂听。

他们拜巨龙，因为巨龙将自己的权力给了怪兽。他们又拜怪兽，说：“有谁比得上这兽呢？谁能与它对抗呢？”

他们在官长面前控告保罗和西拉，说：“这些是犹太人，竟扰乱我们的城市，

他们取了公牛预备好，然后从早上到正午不断地呼求：“巴力啊，求你应允我们！”可是毫无动静。他们又绕着自己筑的祭坛跳个不停。
