When they heard this they were filled with anger, and cried out, saying,“ Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!”

他們聽見，就滿心暴怒，喊着說：『偉大呀，以弗所人的亞底米！』

眾人聽了，就滿腔怒火，喊叫說：「以弗所人偉大的阿蒂米絲！」

眾聞之、怒甚、呼曰、大哉、以弗所人之亞底米也、

眾聞此、怒甚、呼曰、大哉、以弗所人之亞氐米也、

眾聞此大怒、呼曰、大哉以弗所人之亞底米也、

眾聞之、憤甚、咆哮曰：『大哉依法所人之諦雅納！』

When they heard this, they were furious and began shouting:“ Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!”

At this their anger boiled, and they began shouting,“ Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!”

When they had heard this, they were filled with rage and began to cry out,“ Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!”

Now when they heard this, they were full of wrath and cried out, saying,“ Great is Diana of the Ephesians!”

And when they heard this they were filled with wrath, and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.

When they had heard this, they were filled with rage and began to cry out,“ Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!”

And when they heard[ these sayings], they were full of wrath, and cried out, saying, Great[ is] Diana of the Ephesians.

When they heard this they became enraged and began to shout,“ Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!”

They worshiped the dragon, because he gave his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying,“ Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”

The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take counsel together, against Yahweh, and against his Anointed, saying,

crying out,“ Men of Israel, help! This is the man who teaches all men everywhere against the people, and the law, and this place. Moreover, he also brought Greeks into the temple, and has defiled this holy place!”For they had seen Trophimus, the Ephesian, with him in the city, and they supposed that Paul had brought him into the temple.All the city was moved and the people ran together. They seized Paul and dragged him out of the temple. Immediately the doors were shut.As they were trying to kill him, news came up to the commanding officer of the regiment that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.

The islands have seen, and fear. The ends of the earth tremble. They approach, and come.Everyone helps his neighbor. They say to their brothers,“ Be strong!”So the carpenter encourages the goldsmith. He who smoothes with the hammer encourages him who strikes the anvil, saying of the soldering,“ It is good;” and he fastens it with nails, that it might not totter.

These have one mind, and they give their power and authority to the beast.

But when her masters saw that the hope of their gain was gone, they seized Paul and Silas, and dragged them into the marketplace before the rulers.When they had brought them to the magistrates, they said,“ These men, being Jews, are agitating our cityand advocate customs which it is not lawful for us to accept or to observe, being Romans.”The multitude rose up together against them and the magistrates tore their clothes from them, then commanded them to be beaten with rods.When they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them safely,who, having received such a command, threw them into the inner prison, and secured their feet in the stocks.

A drought is on her waters, and they will be dried up; for it is a land of engraved images, and they are mad over idols.

They took the bull which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying,“ Baal, hear us!” But there was no voice, and nobody answered. They leaped about the altar which was made.At noon, Elijah mocked them, and said,“ Cry aloud; for he is a god. Therefore rejoice, heavens, and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and to the sea, because the devil has gone down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has but a short time.”

But when they perceived that he was a Jew, all with one voice for a time of about two hours cried out,“ Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!”When the town clerk had quieted the multitude, he said,“ You men of Ephesus, what man is there who doesn’t know that the city of the Ephesians is temple keeper of the great goddess Artemis, and of the image which fell down from Zeus?

When the people of Ashdod arose early on the next day, behold, Dagon had fallen on his face to the ground before Yahweh’s ark. They took Dagon and set him in his place again.When they arose early on the following morning, behold, Dagon had fallen on his face to the ground before Yahweh’s ark; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off on the threshold. Only Dagon’s torso was intact.Therefore neither the priests of Dagon nor any who come into Dagon’s house step on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod to this day.

Now when they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth.

He came to Ephesus, and he left them there; but he himself entered into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews.
